Bright Tangerine Left Field Cage for Canon EOS C500 Mark II Camera

Our latest collaboration with Canon, the Left Field Cage forms a load-bearing chassis for the Canon EOS C500 Mark II, removing any physical stress from the camera. Effortlessly move from tripod to handheld shooting with the new Open-UP quick release system.

The new Canon EOS C500 Mark II Left Field Cage features our new, patented Open-UP quick release system that lets you slide, lock and vertically release in seconds without the risk of the camera coming off.

The quick release system securely works with any ARRI compatible dovetail, even those that are out of spec. The cage has been specifically designed to let camera operators or assistants to effortlessly handle the camera, even when using gloves.

Invited to work with Canon, the Left Field Cage contours around the EOS C500 II to create a load-bearing chassis, protecting the camera. The complete cage only weighs 1 kg (2.2 lb), making it 30% lighter than the current Canon EOS C200 Left Field Cage.

When using the EU-V2 expansion units or CODEX recorders with the EOS C500 Mark II, the top plate can slide back and forth for better weight distribution and balance.

Kit out the Canon C500 Mark II with a complete cage solution, adding strength and versatility to the camera setup while transferring any physical stress from the camera body to the cage.

The Canon C500 Mark II Left Field Cage is built around three main sections, the Universal 15mm LWS Baseplate Mk II, Sliding Top Plate & Side Plates which form the complete cage.

In addition to the three main sections, the kit also includes the carrying top handle and monitor bracket to reposition the Canon LA-V1 monitor bracket onto the handle or camera cage when using the C500 MK II monitor.

Designed to match the contours of the camera, all of the ports and buttons remain easily accessible. The camera can also slide in and out of the cage without having to dissassemble the cage each time.

The baseplate uses the patented Open ½½UP Quick Release system that will securely mount to any ARRI Standard dovetail, even those out of tolerence, letting you quickly transition between camera setups e.g. tripod to handheld with the Left Field ARRI Dovetail Plate or any standard ARRI dovetail. The camera can be easily positioned on the dovetail for optimal balance.

The baseplate has front and rear rod locks to support 15mm LWS industry standard rods. By having front and rear locks, two short sets of rods can be used to form a longer support, making it easier to transport and pack down. If a single set of rods are used, all four rod locks can be used for added rigidity.

The Sliding Top Plate also features an ARRI dovetail standard clamp that provides a quick release for the Left Field ARRI Dovetail Plate. The plate can be used to mount the top carrying handle or other accessories which can be quickly mounted to the top plate and adjusted for optimal balance.

A 15mm LWS rod bracket is also mounted to the top plate to for use with lens motors or other accessories like an EVF bracket. Particularly useful for drone and gimbal use.

Connecting the baseplate to the top plate are the left & right side plates which transfer any physical stress from the camera body to the cage and provide stability to the camera setup. The side plates feature multiple accessory points as well as an ARRI rosette for relocation of the handgrip.

The C500 Mark II Left Field Cage is contoured to the camera and features a low profile design while maintaining access to all of the camera ports and buttons.

Throughout the cage, 1/4"-20, 3/8"-16 & ARRI accessory mounts are provided for adding any additional accessories like the Titan Arm.
