No matter what the call sheet throws at you, the Advanced Cine Kit will be able to accommodate: with an array of accessory rigging options and quality-of-life components to make every take easier.

Dependable Dovetail
The base of the Advanced Cine Kit is our Universal Dovetail: a one-of-a-kind system with compatibility with both Manfrotto 501PL tripods and DJI RS 4 gimbals. Simply mount the PYXIS from the Universal Dovetail and seamlessly shoot from either tripods or gimbals, and move between them in moments. For heavier setups or larger lenses, the camera can slide back-and-forth - and the Dovetail includes a spring-loaded gear rack to help with balancing the camera.

Integrated Baseplate
We've also included our Create Baseplate in the Advanced Cine Kit: giving you extra flexibility for shooting. Mounting via any standard 1/4" or 3/8" screws, the Create Baseplate is the ideal pairing for the Universal Dovetail. Slide your rig in and out of the baseplate at any time.

Note: The Create Baseplate will not be at the 15mm LWS standard height with the Universal Dovetail.

Advanced Rigging
Of course, the camera is just the canvas: depending on what your shoot requires, you'll be decorating the PYXIS with a range of potential accessories. The Advanced Cine Kit helps you fulfil that potential with the PYXIS. With our dedicated PYXIS Top Plate and side-mounted Cheese Plate; you have a range of accessory mounting points from 1/4" and 3/8" anti-twist threads to MAP M4 points and QD sockets. The Cheese Plate also doubles as a vertical adapter: making it easy to shoot phone-friendly cinematic content.

Easily Handled
If a gimbal or tripod isn't working for you, why not shoot handheld? The Advanced Cine Kit features our Create Top Handle, which mounts seamlessly to the PYXIS' Top Plate for convenience and comfort. Ideal for carrying your camera, or shooting handheld, the Top Handle can be fitted with accessories via its own range of accessory mounts, or built up with our range of Master Handle Extensions.

Rod Rigging
The Advanced Cine Kit also includes two of our extendable 15mm Drumstix support rods: made from structural alloy aluminum for a balance of weight and strength. Use these with the Create Baseplate to mount lens supports or other accessories, or alternatively mount them from the top of the PYXIS via the included 15mm Rod Console. In either case, the Drumstix offer solid structural support for your setup.

- 1/4"-20 Create Top Handle -
The Create Top Handle is a convenient addition to any camera. Mounted via two captive 1/4"-20 screws - spaced 50mm apart - the top handle can be installed onto a range of camera top plates.

With a rubber handgrip for comfort and ARRI-standard threads lining the handle itself (as well as a cold shoe mount), this top handle is a versatile and convenient addition to your rig.

Part of our Create range, this Top Handle provides nearly limitless customization options for almost any camera body. Installed via two captive screws, the top handle is an easy addition to your rig: providing a stable option for both rigging and transportation.

From there, you can build out the handle itself with extensions. Add a monitor mount using the cold shoe, or use the 1/4" and 3/8" holes to add further accessories to the top of your camera.

Made from anodized aluminum with a rubber inlay on the grip, this top handle is a comfortable and convenient accessory for camera builds of any complexity.

Cold Shoe Mount
Alongside screw-in threads, the top handle also provides a cold shoe - ideal for supporting monitor swivel mounts, microphones or wireless receivers.

Highly Customizable

Customize without Compromise
The PYXIS Top Plate offers a range of options for refining your rig. From industry-standard 1/4" and 3/8" screw threads to more specific options such as MAP M4 or QD socket mounts. Each features the relevant locating pins for secure attachment, and are arranged in the ARRI pin-lock standard array. There are also dedicated 1/4"-20 mounting points for Top Handles, optimized for balance, as well as along the sides for attaching side plates or Cheese Plates.

The Create 15mm LWS Baseplate is a multi-standard mounting point for Manfrotto, DJI and Arca plates - offering a secure mounting point for camera setups.

Mounting via 1/4" or 3/8" threads on the base and featuring 15mm LWS rod brackets, the Create Baseplate is a lightweight and versatile rigging solution.

For constantly changing setups, the Create 15mm LWS Baseplate is the ultimate choice for clean and steady rigging. Compatible with Arca, DJI and Manfrotto dovetail plates, the Create Baseplate is a multipurpose baseplate that can be attached to any standard 1/4" or 3/8" screw thread - ideal for jibs, sliders or other industry-standard mounting points.

Made from lightweight aluminum and just 100mm in length, the Create Baseplate keeps a compact yet durable form factor that is ideal for simple or complex camera setups.

Multi-Standard Dovetail
The Create Baseplate is a multipurpose unit, capable of safely holding dovetail plates in Arca, DJI and Manfrotto standards. Designed as a mount for our Universal Dovetail, the multiple functions allow you to use the Create Baseplate with a wide range of alternative plates.

- Universal Dovetail -
The Universal Dovetail for Manfrotto and DJI RS 4 provides a mount for Manfrotto 5 Series and DJI RS 4 plates - able to mount to either safety standard. It also provides an optional 15mm rod bracket at the front.

The Dovetail has both a 1/4" and 3/8" screws for compatibility with any camera.

Cross-Compatible Dovetail
A frustrating feature for many filmmakers has been the slight differences between Manfrotto and DJI plate standards. With our new Universal Dovetail, you can use the same mount for DJI RS 4 gimbals and Manfrotto 5 Series tripods with ease. The spring-loaded gear rack for DJI gimbals makes it easy to mount to compatible gimbals, and a safety stop ensures that the dovetail doesn't detach by itself.


- Cheese Plate -
The Blackmagic PYXIS Cheese Plate gives you expanded customization options for your PYXIS. Along with standard-issue 1/4" and 3/8" threads, the Cheese Plate features MAP M4 points and an ARRI rosette for handgrips.

The Cheese Plate can also be used to mount the PYXIS vertically for vertical shooting.

The Blackmagic PYXIS Cheese Plate offers a huge range of customization options for your Blackmagic camera. Mounting to the same threads as the stock PYXIS side plates, the Cheese Plate gives you a range of 1/4", 3/8" and MAP M4 points - without ruining the PYXIS's form factor. There's also an ARRI rosette mount for Hand Grips, and you can use the Cheese Plate to shoot vertically thanks to the centrally-aligned thread channel.
