It features SCHOTT Superwhite B270 optical glass, an ultra-clear crown glass produced by melting high-purity raw materials and using the continuous draw process. The result is a filter with exceptional transmission in the ultraviolet, visible, and infrared spectrums, and a high surface quality that readily accepts our state-of-the-art MRC and nanotec coatings.Our proprietary MRC16 is a multi-resistant coating applied to both surfaces of the glass disk. This coating not only reduces reflection but also increases surface durability. It's structurally harder than the glass itself, and the reduced reflections enhance efficiency as less light is lost. The reduction of reflections also improves the contrast of the image by eliminating stray light. The real-world result  Enhanced contrast and color.The X4 ND filter is designed to be a workhorse for field work, built to withstand extreme wind, salt water, dust, and other abrasive conditions and elements. It incorporates our state-of-the-art nanotec Nano Coatings Technology, which repels water and other elements rather than absorbing and smearing them.The X4 ND filter is the world's most color-neutral ND filter. Many neutral density filters on the market exhibit a strong blue or magenta cast, but our alternative manufacturing method to the conventional oven process ensures the most color-neutral ND performance. Only negative is the price is a bit steep, but this filter's performance is as good or better than anything else out there, so I didn't even consider anything else. Search around for the many reviews, then get this and I'm sure you'll agree this is as good as it gets.

As Good As It Gets

This is the best ever ND filter I have ever owned. It’s bit pricy, but the results are awesome. I don’t find any color casting and the glass quality is super high. Definitely recommend this for someone who is in the market for ND filters.

At the time of this review, their 150mm holder system is NOT yet out and available but I have good source telling me it is out soon and this too will be a revolutionary design with 0% light leak!
