The X4 ND filter is renowned as the world's sharpest ND filter, featuring SCHOTT Superwhite B270 optical glass. This ultra-clear crown glass is crafted from high-purity raw materials using the continuous draw process, resulting in exceptional transmission in the ultraviolet, visible, and infrared spectrums. The high surface quality of this glass is ideal for our state-of-the-art MRC and nanotec coatings.

Our proprietary MRC16, a multi-resistant coating, is applied to both surfaces of the glass disk. This optical coating reduces reflection and enhances surface durability, making it structurally harder than the glass itself. The reduced reflections increase efficiency as less light is lost, and the elimination of stray light improves the contrast of the image, resulting in better contrast and color.
