Awesome clarity, even on full magnification. I have two rifles with droptine on them. No problem at all, very pleased. Also purchased fullfield hd for a step up on ruger 300 win mag, nothing compares to it.

I bought mine last year and mounted it on a 450 bushmaster. And I absolutely love it. Even with the recoil of my 450 it seems to hold zero very well?

I found two of these at a great price and snatched them up. They have been really good and a gate wate drug to more expensive scopes!

I had my Burris Droptine 4.5-14x42 for about 6-7 years, I did not baby the scope. I have several Burris scopes, and all of them are put through snow, rain, heat, and freezing cold. Recently my Droptine fogged up on a deer during heavy snow and mid-20s. I could not take the shot. When got home, I contacted Burris, activated my Forever Warranty, sent the scope to Burris, and after 2-3 weeks my new scope will be here tomorrow. I will always use Burris and any hunter that pushes his/her equipment to the necessary extremes will not be disappointed.

This scope is a good value for its price. The optics are satisfactory and the adjustments are fairly good. This scope is well worth what it cost. It is a good value.

My first Burris was a 1988 Burris Signature series 3x9x40 on a Rem 700 30-06 recommended by my gunsmith. I hunt hard in numerous states, have harvested more than 100 deer, 80 or so antelope, dozen elk. I have used owned Nikon Monarch, Weaver Grand Slam, Leupold VX3, Sightron 3, Vortex Viper. Currently I have a Signature HD on a 300 mag and a Droptine 4.5-14's on a .308 and .243. My opinion after 45 years of hunting is that Burris is the most rugged, dependable and robust of all the brands I have tried. I put the quality of the Droptine equal to my VX3, for less than one third the cost. It is easy to sight in, and holds zero perfectly. Put a 4.5 x 14 on your kids deer rifle and you will be buying one (or more) for yourself.

I received my gorgeous 4.5-14x42mm Droptine rifle scope and immediately got the optic mounted on my new 6.5 Creedmoor. This scope is stacked with features that are suited for all of my firearms. I recommend this affordable product but don?t be surprised to learn about all its useful features.

Cross hairs in my scope broke 2 years ago mid season dodnt have alot of $ as it was close to CHRISTmas ,but at the same time needed a good scope I had never owned a Burris and never heard anything bad about them as I stated earlier it was near CHRISTmas and the sporting goods stores didn't have much to pick from the ones they did have were outrageously priced There was one DropTine with a 42 mmr lens, i had always used 50mm so wasnt sure if I'd be happy with this scope but I bought it ,was set really close out of the box, had it for 2 seasons now on my 308 Scout and let me tell you I'm very pleased with it and haven't noticed much difference between the 42 or 50 mm ,great scope reasonable price ,as well as a Awesome warranty which it doesn't look like I'll ever need ,Happy hunting guys & girls good luck ,be safe & take a child hunting anytime you can ,God bless

I bought this scope to replace an early Weaver (El Paso) scope that wouldn’t hold windage anymore. I have always heard good things about Burris so I decided to give them a try. I wasn’t disappointed! I compared this model to the Leupold VX-Freedom series for price and aesthetics on an older gun. I’ve been happy with my purchase so far. My rifle is a 1967 Savage Model 99 chambered in 308 and is my stalking/truck gun so it won’t ever see long range but the clarity and light transmission are fantastic for my needs. I’m totally happy with my choice and would recommend the Droptine to anyone needing a great scope at a fair price point.

Too short to mount on my long action rifle! Got it on there after buying different mounts but with no room to adjust eye relief. Have to either cut 3” off my stock or climb way up on it! Never can work for hunting. Glass seems nice but the windage turns but doesn’t “click”. Elevation clicks just fine though.

This scope it very nice. I've had it for 3 years now but it tends to fog up on me and isn't all that great in low light conditions. Really hope Burris will address these problems.

My second Burris optic. Other one was an Eliminator III. I absolutely love everything about this scope. The glass is Chrystal clear, the parallax settings are perfect, eye relief was perfect and settings are perfect for my new Browning X-Bolt in 6.5 Creedmoor. The best thing to me is how awesome it looks on the rifle. I couldn’t be any happier.

I'm not sure why the objective end is threaded. I had planned to buy flip-back (threaded lens caps for the scope as caps were not included. It is marketed as an option for this scope, but after many hours of research, there is NOTHING available. The technical support team at Burris recommended Butler Creek flip up lens covers. Nothing against Butler Creek, but their caps are bulky, cumbersome, and restrictive on the ocular end. The Leupold, Zeiss, and Tenebraex (threaded) caps are much smaller, easier to work with.....an all around better designed product (in my opinion). I think Burris should make lens caps (sold separately) or include them when purchasing a scope. I also have a Fullfield II, it's a great scope. It's older and has lens caps. I believe Burris makes good products, but with all of the time wasted on the Droptine, this will be my last.

Bought this to replace a scope I wasn't fond of. Love the clarity and since I reload and have a chronograph I am able to fun the ballistics program on your website and get distances for the hash marks. The only thing is I would like scope covers for the scope. Especially because flip up covers aren't very usable with the AO adjustment.

This Droptine 4.5-14x42 mm riflescope gets the job done when you need reliability, affordability and top-flight performance. Its high-quality, precision-ground glass is multi-coated for superb low-light capability and glare resistance. The simple, rugged reticle has holdover for precise shots at extended ranges. The low-profile turret is finger-adjustable. A separate eyepiece and power ring allow for flip-up lens caps. The precision internal assembly is double spring-tensioned for shock proofing, so your Droptine Riflescope can survive a lifetime of harsh field use.
