Great clarity and light gathering! Took it out for the first time a couple of days on an elk scouting trip and was amazed at the detail of picture. As it got dark, I compared this spotter to my SWARO bino's and this spotter had much more light. This bull was a long ways away and my camera distorted the image a bit.

I call it RP! Right product right price. Still wasn't cheap, but cheap isn't the budget when I'm am wanting glass that allows me to see if the elk I am after is what I'm looking for in a 5 day window. I can't find any reason to step up to the swarovski, which is in another league. Last year during the season my hunt partner showed up with his Swarovski binos and spotting scope and I had my great product Vortex Razor on its 3rd season. He can't even explain why he purchased other than his Cabela's points made the purchase. Why did I make the change to Burris since the Razor was trustworthy? Well right before Christmas I was in a small town in western Colorado and I'm not the best at locking my doors of my Ford Raptor. I live in California and always forget. Sometime thru the night my Raptor was vandalized with ease of entry. They made off with a spotting scope, knives of Alaska knife, and two spypoint cellular game cams. The keys were in the cup holder, and I am thankful I still had a ride back to SoCal. At the time I could tell someone had been in the Raptor and the only thing I notice missing was spare change and the knife because it was in my drivers side door storage. When I arrived back home and was unloading is when I realized the other items. I do check online with my spypoint account knowing someone is going to power those cameras up and I am going to get pinged their location. Back to Burris. They added the feature to put a FastFire for quicker finding of what your eyes find. Furthermore, the glass, the features, and clarity are better then what my Razor ever was. I'm extremely happy with the purchase, and get a good reminder everyday when I exit my Raptor to lock it up.

The Burris MSR 3-9×40 scope I just purchased looks like a great product as I expected. I haven't installed it on my firearm yet (thats why only 4 stars instead of 5 however, the glass is really clear and it looks to be just as rugged and dependable as my previous Burris products I have purchased.
