Excellent variable power scope.

Excellent on a Ruger GSR. Mounted to a poly stock Ruger GSR in weaver Medium quad lock rings. Clear glass and does exactly what I need to. Thanks Burris for keeping scout scopes alive

Pleasantly surprised

Have had this scope for a while now. Never thought I'd own a Burris product, but here ya go. This little scope is awesome. Highly recommend. It's not a Schmidt & Bender, but for my Scout rifle, this little thing is top shelf.

Pretty awesome for the price.

Only 80 rounds of 7.62x54 R in, but I'm pretty impressed. The package is a pretty unbelievable balance of compromises for the price. The most obvious Leupold competitor might be only just slightly more clear but sacrifices some FOV, magnification range and focus adjustment for it. Up to the user to decide which is better for them. I'll take the Burris. For my mileage, shooting both eyes open at closer ranges but closing the non dominant eye at higher ranges or magnification the increased FOV is appreciated. The reticle is also a great advantage. While I normally only go for plex, MoA or mil dots on 2fp, the ballistic Plex is pretty perfect on m44 Mosin with 7 power giving you near as makes no difference 100, 200, 300, 400, and 500m; while 2 power is close enough to 100, 300, 600, 800 and 1000m. Finally on the plus side is durability. This thing does not mind at all getting bashed around a bit on my truck gun. My only 2 minor gripes are I could do with an inch less eye relief, and setting the focus is finicky to the point where it took longer to get perfect than the scope did to mount, boresight and zero.

Does what it is intended for.

This was learning process, having never used a scout scope before, setup was a little different. Once I had achieved proper level and mount height I was able to bring it into zero pretty easy. Eye relief is generous in that you have several inches to adjust for you and your rifle. Acquisition is quick and the reticles nice and bold. Other than sighting in with a dozen rounds I have not used it in the field, but so far I feel it will function as intended.

Only one for SOCOM!

The ONLY scope to get for M1A SOCOM! Get the Burris low extreme tactical mounts and you?re set. Great eye relief. Clear, and holds zero really well. Not to mention that it just makes the SOCOM just ?pop?!!!

Solid scope

This is a solid well built scope with perfect eye relief for the M1A Scout rifle. I'm a Leupold guy, but their VX Freedom 1.5x4 doesn't have enough eye relief to use all the magnification. This Burris 2x7 does. I have it mounted on Warne low height QD rings and it's about perfect with the factory stock for cheek weld. The adjustments are rock solid and repeatable. The glass is clear edge to edge and gives a great picture. This is the scope you want for the M1A Scout rifle.

Not Bad

Scope is robust if not a little on the heavy side. Very clear edge to edge with great range of eye relief. Power ring is quite stiff and needs an extension lever built into it or an aftermarket clamp on lever. (It will be really tough to turn in a hurry at winter 3-gun matches. Not sure how water proof this scope is with a non sealed power ring.

Great little optic

Had this puppy a few months now and shot roughly 400 rounds through my Ruger Scout .308 with the Burris on top. No issues and great picture!

Water ingress

I took this scope to Africa, specifically the mountains of Eastern Cape and whilst stalking in on some baboons in the pre dawn rain, lightning and cold this scopes seal decided to fail on me. You can keep your lifetime warranty I don’t want a repeat of that. Your scope found a home in the bin, and a Leupold found its home on my gun. What was I thinking, that should have been my first choice. Silly me for choosing you. Never again Burris

Exactly what I needed

Purchased this scope recently, mounted it on top my Marlin 1895GBL with a WWG rail. Thing works like a dream and 2-7x is perfect for the effective range of the 45-70.

Perfect scope for a scout rifle!

I bought this for a Marlin 1895 SBL in 45-70. Needed a scope that could handle hard recoil. It has excellent eye relief, I can shoot both eyes open. It’s my 3rd Burris. They aren’t as well known to some, but check them out. Note: would like scope covers

Perfect Addition to my Ruger Scout Rifle.

I'm taking it to the deer woods for the 3rd season. I absolutely love this thing, took a little getting used to it being so far forward. Took my biggest buck the 1st year, it's a great combination. Worth the money!

Great for what I intended it for but really, $300 and cant include cheap rubber lens caps? Sometimes its the little things that separate reputable manufacturers!

Received defective product.

I recently purchased and subsequently returned this scope because the reticle was canted inside the scope. To mount the scope with the reticle and it’s BDC in a vertical position the adjustment knobs are visibialy not in the vertical and horizontal planes. When zeroing the scope, this caused my adjustments to move the bullet strike diagonally. I believe this also interferes with the BDC. After zeroing at 300yds the 100yds impacts are over an inch to the right. I have since returned this to amazon and ordered a replacement. If the replacement is free of defects, and worth reviewing, I’ll update this post.

The Burris Optics Scout 2-7x32 Riflescope with Ballistic Plex Reticle has been designed to be the perfect scope for all of your shooting needs. This scope is made with a Posi-Lock system that is a coil-spring assisted retractable steel post that firmly and & securely locks accuracy into place. The Burris Optics Scout 2-7x32 Riflescope is filled and purged at least 24 times with high quality, laboratory grade dry nitrogen. Each nitrogen cycle absorbs airborne and residual surface moisture that is evacuated from the scope making it recoil-, water- and fog-proof.

This Burris Rifle Sight has been subjected to extreme recoil tests with nn impact machine that is used to measure and duplicate the recoil pulse acceleration and duration. The Burris Optics Scout 32mm Objective Riflescope uses lenses with a greater diameter than the competition, to provide you with a sight that throws off incredibly clear images, in almost any situation.

Adjustment system is Steel on Steel; Repeatable; With Audible Clicks
Double Internal Spring Force
Posi-Lock is a coil-spring assisted retractable steel post that firmly and & securely locks accuracy into place.
Once the reticle is zeroed, the covering tube (red) replaces the internal spring (green) & locks the inner tube in place.
All scopes have one spring that allows the adjustment of the reticle.
Some of the competition competitors offer a double spring whereas the double spring is the STANDARD for all Burris products.
As an optional, it's possible to have the special Posi-Lock system.
Posi-Lock scopes remain perfectly zeroed year after year even during transportation.
In the closed position, the force of the spring is substituted by the force of the steel post on the internal tube of the scope.
Each scope is filled and purged at least 24 times with high quality, laboratory grade dry nitrogen. Each nitrogen cycle absorbs airborne and residual surface moisture that is evacuated from the scope
Every scope is individually recoil, water and fogproof tested
Burris uses specially made quad seals to provide double insurance against leakage
The nitrogen contained in the scope is of high quality (ultra dry, laboratory grade nitrogen), ultra pure, ultra clean to be sure that all airborne moisture and surfaces moisture within a scope is evacuated, testing consists of 24 cycles of pressurizing the scope, subjecting it to a vacuum
