I bought this product a little over a year ago and I hunt Colorado which gives a lot of long range opportunities at night, after a short while of using it I learned to tell what different animals were up to about 300 yards out? given that, clarity is amazing!!! I also extremely like the different reticals that you can choose from, and all the different color pallets have there different advantages at different times but all work extremely well given the different conditions you might be faced with. I've also struggled in the past sighting in other thermal optics but found this one to be extremely easy and made for a highly accurate shot with it!!! My only downside would be how bright the screen is, it does make it where you may be temporarily a little blind when you look up from the scope. Overall I've killed a ton of animals with this optic and continue to use it regularly today and it has many beneficial features that made night hunting a lot easier and way more fun to do!!!

I bought one when they first came out, it was great until it wasn't. It started turning off when I shot so I sent it in for warranty and Burris promptly sent it back no problem found. I mounted it and it done it everytime. Luckily I bought it at Scheels and they took it back. I then bought another brand and that one has been great.

My first purchase was a couple of years ago and was not please with the performance. I never complain, but the product was subpar. My friend recently purchased a thermal and told him not to buy it..He did not listen and it keeps freezing up. Go with ATN. There thermals always win..They won the best thermal at the NRA in 2022...I wonder why.....

I purchased the BTS 50 looking to get into the night hunting game. I wasn't totally sure what to expect as most of my buddies are using night vision scope and recommended I go thermal. Pros: - Image clarity is amazing. I believe I can see more detail through the scope at night than with my eyesight during the day. I can't imagine the clarity being better, especially in this price line. - One scroll button controls everything. This is a great feature, it's simple and fast. - Rechargeable batteries. I picked up a couple additional 3200 mAh 1850 batteries for my bag and I can run the scope for 5+ hrs. In fact I haven't had one go less than 60% before I put it on the charger that is included. - I love been running black hot as it is the dimmest palette setting. It's what I've gotten used to but also best for limiting the strain on your eye. The other palettes are good for day use as well, they're just bright at night. TIP: Keep both eyes open especially at night while looking through the scope. Intel my buddies to do this and they say it makes a big difference, it's something I picked up in the military and have always done. Cons: - No internal video recording. I contacted Burris and they sent me a link to a MDVR that will record. There are actually pros to this as well, my buddy can hold the MDVR as I scan and also watch or if your eye needs a break you can scan and bier through the MDVR. It's a con because it's an additional $200 you will need to spend. -No rangefinder or bullet compensation. This hasn't been an issue for me yet l, but I've been familiar with the places I've been hunting so I generally know the range of my target. Depth perception is different through a thermal so this could be an issue at a new place. - No scope cover. I wish I could purchase a neoprene cover for the scope to protect it while mounted on my rifle.

I had a chance to test out the Burris Thermal Riflescope at a range next to a pile of other thermal scopes (Pulsar, ATN, etc). The BTR outperformed all the other products in terms of refresh rate and ease of use. It was right at the top level of image quality and it had features that I wouldn't hunt without like HOT TRACK. I had my mindset on Burris and then I found out the price point, I can practically buy two of these for one of any other lower-performing competitor.

I tried this on hogs down in Texas and killed my first wild hogs on a pitch black moonless night with this thermal scope. Accurate and easy to use would be the best way to describe this thermal scope. The different color palettes really made them stand out making them easy to target and shoot.

I have looked through countless thermals; some are impressive and some are not. None have taken my breath away like the new thermal line from Burris. The image is breathtakingly clear and detailed, which is very important in identifying predators from friendly farm pets. With this line I have the confidence I need to not second guess my target, potentially missing an opportunity to eliminate threats from our local farmer's fields. Thank you Burris for finally providing an affordable quality thermal with a super clear and detailed image that we can count on!

I absolutely love this scope. It's a darn tough optic that tracks reliably and doesn't break the bank. I'm rough as heck with it and it hasn't failed me in 3 yrs so far. I probably won't upgrade to one of the $2,000 + super scopes because theirs no need to. This scope suits my needs perfectly.

Check out GunTotinMinnesotan on youtube to watch my mini review. I love the optic, it's my favorite for the price. Turrets are fantastic, tracking is near perfect, glass is very usable up to 20 power (minor distortion visible at 17ish power. I suppose the only thing that would make it better is to have the parallax go down to 25 yards, and from what I understand the gen 3 model will do that. Burris is a very under-valued brand. They kick the competition's butt in the XTR series. Really looking forward to see the gen 3's! Great work Burris!

Last year After owning a 5-25 xtrii along with a couple of other high end brand scopes I decided to buy a 4-20 h591 xtrii to put on my match rifle I was building in 6.5 saum. I went with this scope because of the features, price and my experience with the 5-25 model. Being my match rifle I wanted a scope that was precise with or without dialing. This means having a tree style or Horus style reticle. I prefer the h59 and it is my favorite of all current offerings anywhere. This scope is the lowest priced scope with this reticle. While being the lowest price it is not the lowest quality rather it is very high quality in terms of workman's ship, durability and reliability. I wanted a scope that I could get out to 2k with on dial without using holds. With a 20 moa base and a 5 moa insert in the xtr signature rings I get 92 minutes (26 mils of dial which gets me 2300 yards at my favorite range. I've only shot in 2 matches so far with this rifle and scope with 6th and 9th place finishes. This scope also helped me get my 1500 yard milk jug challenge and 1000 yard milk jug challenge. My only wish is that the xtrii h591 was offered in a 5-25x56 Other than that there is nothing to complain about
