Great optics!

I have the fastfire 2 and just purchased the fastfire 3 and both are great optics. It is my highest recommendation if your looking for accurate optics it's Burris fastfire.

Handgun improvement

First time ever adding a optic to my handgun, what an inprovent in performance. I have an astigmatism in my eyes and is difficult using the iron sights. With the red dot I can focus on the target and the red dot shows me my aim with ease. A wow moment.

Nice, Low-Mounting Reflex Sight

I purchased this sight to install on a Winchester Model 94 using a no-drill picatinny rail. It is a low-mounting sight and ideal for the Model 94. I calculated the sight height as 1.4" above bore centerline which allows a good cheek weld when shooting. The dot is plenty bright even under bright daylight conditions, in fact, it may be almost too bright. I have only given this sight a 4-star rating for the following reasons: 1There is no way to manually dim the dot, 2)there were parts in the package not listed or explained in the user guide, 3)I have been unable to get responses from Burris to technical questions I submitted through their web site several weeks ago.

Good red dot

I put it on my ar along with the ar mount for it. So far the only dislike is to sight it in you have top have a disc they provide to do so. Other than that easy enough to sight in and use

Not very durable

Bought this as a close range sight to go with an AR-332 scope. Worked good at first, but then dot just went to high left and no adjustment could even make it move. Housing and lens look fine. AR-332 still sighted in perfectly. Not sure if it got jolted too hard somehow or what, but was kind of disappointed.

Long term durability.

I put this on a semi-automatic rifle many years ago and it never looses zero (blue loctite necessary). Lots of abuse. Just wish battery replacement was different.

Battery

I bought a fastfire 2 a year ago and the store installed it on my turkey gun and bore sighted it. I took it to the range and the elevation adjustment worked fine but the wind age would not move point of impact. The store replaced it and after sighting in I took 4 turkeys with 4 shots. Accidentally left the switch on and battery died. The owners manual listed the wrong battery number so after removing the old battery I returned to store for correct battery. A washer with little ears fell out when I removed battery and there is no info in manual as to where it goes or which way the ears face. I did not re-sight in the gun because the scope clamps onto a base with 4 small post. Today I missed a turkey at 30 and 40 yards off of bipod standing still. Lesson learned if you replace the battery you have to re-zero. I intend to replace this Burris with another brand with a more reliable on-off switch with a battery that can be replaced in the field without re-zero now that I know the features that I need in a reflex scope. Don’t waste money on this sight

Nice Sight

Mounted easily to my Glock 20. After bore sighting at home, I was able to zero it at the range in just a few shots. Put 100 slightly reduced power plinking loads and 30 full power rounds through it, and it held zero perfectly while riding the slide in addition to the already substantial 10mm recoil. Very happy so far.

I bought this yesterday and will be attempting to take it back tomorrow morning. I put it on a 9mm and tried to use it in a match this evening. It kept turning itself off and cost me a clean sweep of the match. JUNK!

1,400 rounds and counting

I've been using a FastFire 2 on my Glock 19 for the past three years and I love it! It still looks and functions like it's brand new. It's always spot on. If there's a dot there, there's a hole there. Replacing the battery is simple enough and I leave the on/off switch in the on position with the cover on in my safe. Then it's ready to go if I need it in a hurry. I replace the battery about every 10 months when I feel the dot is getting a bit weak. This unit is amazingly durable. Zero issues with it in over 1,400 shots fired. Great for an old guy's eyes. I clean the lens after every trip to the range with a lens cloth on the outside and a Q-tip on the inside. No signs or wear or scratching. Burris rocks!

I never owned a red dot sight before and my eyesight at sixty five is failing me each year. I had just purchase a 45 American Ruger and had a hard time seeing the sights clear due to my eyesight. At fifteen yards my pattern was terrible to say the least. After I purchase and mounted the fast fire 2 on the pistol with the help of a rest I can now have a four in pattern at fifty yards. VERY PLEASED I would recommend everyone to try one. However. I also purchase a holster and while I was adjusting for the pistol for fit. It fell out and busted the sight. When I called there forever warranty department and told them what I did There reply was send it in. It will be cover at no charge now that’s a company that believes in there products. There should be more than a five star rating

Very nice product

I have had the fast fire 2 on my Ruger super black hawk .44 magnum for a couple months now. Even with very stout loads it always holds true. Great product

Not happy yet

Bought a new FastFire 2, mounted it on my Ruger Mark II, sighted it in indoors and seemed to work fine although the red dot was a little dim. Took it outside and can’t see the red dot at all. It’s supposed to adjust automatically according to ambient light, but mine didn’t and there’s no way to adjust it manually. Went online and filled out a return authorization form, and they sent me a mailing label, not postage paid! Still waiting to hear back from Burris. Not impressed so far. We’ll see how they handle the repairs before I pass final judgment.

Sent back for repair

Worked great for a month and then stopped working. It is in for repair. I received a notice that it was received but so far no information about the repair progress. I will not choose to recommend this product until I have one that works. This may have been just a bad unit.

Excellent Shotgun Optic!

I ordered this red dot from Burris, by first red dot from here and third overall Burris optic, because of the quality of the optics, clarity of glass and I feel like I get far more value for Burris products than what I pay for them. I put this on a Remington 870 Express Tactical that is my primary home defense shotgun. I didn't consider any other optic for this application. I wanted something I could trust will always work whenever I need it and easy to use should someone else need to use it.

Works good but looked used

I bought this last week I'm pretty sure it had been used before because after I purchased I had found the package was missing a flush mount screw and there are a few small dents around the reticle. Other than that seems like the product should do the job for now

Once zeroed it works very effectively

For normal use to accurately get on target, especially when doing speed drills, it worked flawlessly. The dot is fairly easy to find, though with my vision it would have been nice to have the ability to increase its brightness. Under heavy use, the glass separated from the frame and had to be replaced. This was done quickly by Burris, great service.

Good for the money

This is a nice red dot sight. I was a little weary of spending [$] on a sight for my .22, but I have since realized it was well worth it. There are limited alternatives for reflex sights with such a form factor. The only other options are cheap, generic knock-off lookalikes that always have major defects, or Trijicon in which you are likely to have more money wrapped up in your optics than your gun. It includes everything that you will need. The Fastfire II is not the easiest sight to adjust because the adjustment screws also have lock screws that can change your POI when tightened after any adjustment. Other than that, the sight seems well made. Its precision and accuracy exceed that required of even target pistols. The sight seems to do a decent job of automatically adjusting the dot brightness in most lighting conditions. It isn't overwhelming in low light but it is still very visible on a sunny day. The included weaver/picatinny base is nicely machined and should precisely clamp onto any standard rail. However, it will NOT fit factory Browning Buckmark "Weaver" rails without some modification. Apparently, the geniuses at Browning decided to machine the slots of the scope rail to a much narrower width than the standard Weaver dimension. Therefore, the crossbolt of the FastFire's base will hang up on these slots and prevent it from properly securing to the rail. Obviously, this is not the fault of Burris and I can't hold that against their product. Fortunately, this totally unnecessary problem created by Browning can be overcome with a few common hand tools: GENTLY tap the bolt out of the base with a soft-faced hammer. Then CAREFULLY and EVENLY file down the two opposing flats on the bolt until the bolt is narrow enough to fit. Tap it back into the base, making sure those flats are oriented properly. Voila, you can now enjoy using the FastFire II on your Buckmark.

The FastFire II stands out in its category as the only fully waterproof unit, offering unparalleled protection against the elements.
