Burris Optics XTR Signature 34mm/1.34" Picatinny Scope Ring, 1.50" Height, High, Pair

I currently have four rifles with Signature Rings installed. I have two sets of 420211 and two sets of 420587 installed, plus a good number of spare sets of rings. I think that the plastic inserts are superb and allow me to fine tune my elevation and windage. What bugs me is the operation of the XTR rings. I have used them a lot over the years, but they don't return to zero. I would rate the XTR rings as 5 stars if they did one thing - returned to zero. I now have a number of rifles that I want to run two scopes on, and the inability of the XTR rings to return to zero when being remounted is a significant issue. I've been tangling with scopes since around 1970 and the combination of Picatinny rails and Burris Signature rings is pretty good. Sorting out the return to zero of the XTR rings would be the icing on the cake.

Love these rings. have them on most of my precision rifles. Wish they made them in 35mm!!

These scope rings are of high quality. Assembly is straight forward. However, the set came without instructions regarding the ways you are able to use the inserts to make the major adjustments prior to fine tuning your rifles zero. It's a VERY nice feature and one I learned about going to the website where the adjustments are explained complete with diagrams. My only suggestion to Burris is to ship the set with the insert information. I'd purchase them again.
