I purchased this light 3 years ago. I inserted the batteries and tested the light and put it in it's holster and put it in my hunting pack where it's remained ever since. On Nov 10th with 7 minutes of legal shooting light left, I spotted this wide racked buck. Even with a double-lung shot he ran off. I returned to my vehicle to get my pack and a brighter flashlight as it was now dark and I found the Bloodhunter HD in my pack by complete accident. When help arrived and we began tracking one hour after the shot the blood light led us to this big guy some 90 yards away in heavy woods and berry bushes immediately. The original batteries in the light were still as strong as new too! If you had a way to post a photo here I'd show the light in action.

I used it two days ago. I shot a doe with my rifle in the evening, but she ran off over the ridge from where I was. I walked over the ridge where she ran but found no visible blood trail. It was getting pretty dark. I pulled out the Bloodhunter HD and immediately saw the small drips of blood and then easily found her. One issue I have with my ammo is that if I shoot a deer in the heart/lung area and do not immediately drop it then they tend to run a while. The ammo is accurate for me, so I continue to use it. I lost a deer earlier in the season in this manner. The deer was found the next morning but unsalvageable to eat. Wish I had the Bloodhunter HD then... I have always heard mixed reviews on this type of product. Now I believe in this one specifically. I may get some extra ones for my fellow hunting buddies.

This is one of those products that you don't think about until you need it. The filter highlights blood better than any ofter blood light or flashlight I've used before.

I purchased this light last fall after not being able to track a 9 point buck I had shot on an evening hunt. Three of my friends and my wife were helping track the buck. We gave up, I went back the next morning only to find him 10 yards away from where we gave up! The coyotes had eaten everything except the heart, that is where the broadhead was found! I thought never again, I'm going to research these blood tracking lights. Well, tonight a friend was looking for a doe and called me. He had remembered I had the light. Within 5 five minutes we walked right up to here. The light lit up the blood like nothing I had every seen. Even small drops on the green leaves stood out. I loved seeing it in action. I would highly recommend this light for anyone who enjoys evening hunts.

It is as important to us as it is to you that we find the game we have pursued. We too have spent sleepless nights replaying the hunt in our mind and wondering what happened.
Primos continues to use our resources to bring you the best in blood trailing technology. The Bloodhunter HD uses a custom optical filter that reduces select colors in order to amplify blood. It truly is the best light to use to find blood.
Not every animal drops in its tracks. Have the right tool for the job. Make every drop count. Because at the end of every blood trail we want you to rest in peace.
