• Top-of-the-line Sony IMX678 STARVIS 2 image sensors in the front camera and IMX675 STARVIS 2 in the rear camera, recording at respectively 3840 x2160 and 2560 x1440 pixels resolutions
• HDR support on both front and rear cameras: BlackVue HDR also reduces motion blur and improves detail, making license plates easier to read on moving vehicles
• The front camera integrates an 8-element f/1.7 aperture lens with great light-gathering capability and the rear camera's 7-element f/2.0 aperture lens provides a great mix of depth of field and low-light performance. The lenses cover a 146-degree (front) and 142-degree (rear) angle wide field of view with minimal distortion

ELITE 9 Series utilizes HEVC (H.265) compression, which is the leading standard in 4K recording and broadcasting. The primary benefit of HEVC is that it ensures the best video quality at any bitrate.

Power Saving Mode: Up to Over 12 Months of Protection!
In Power Saving Mode, the dash cam minimizes power consumption by going into standby, then wakes up on impact and goes back to standby mode after 1 min recording. Provides several weeks of protection when hardwired to a car with a healthy battery and up to several months of protection when paired with Optional BlackVue Ultra Battery (B-130A).

• Ultra-Low Current Draw: Under 1 mA! It's actually under 0.5 mA. Literally hundreds of times less than a dash cam's standard mode draw
• Ultra-Fast Wakeup Time: Under 1 second! Starts recording as soon as an impact is detected
• Minimized heat: in standby, ELITE 9 generates almost no heat, so it operates reliably even in hot weather

• Motion Detection: records a 1-minute buffered video whenever a motion is detected by the front or rear camera. Motion detection areas can be set manually in the app
• Time Lapse: records constantly at 1 frame per second so each 1 minute video covers 30 minutes of real time. Recommended if you routinely park in busy areas

Pre-impact recording
In both modes, the dash cam also records buffered Event clips in case of impact. That means 1-minute clips that start 10 seconds before the detected impact.

• Supercapacitor: provides short-term power for error-free recording in case of power loss. Highly resistant and stable in extremely hot and cold temperatures
• Overheat protection: ELITE 9 operates at temperatures ranging from -20 Degree C (-4 Degree F) to +65 Degree C (149 Degree F). If the ambient temperature reaches 75 Degree C (167 Degree F), it shuts down to protect itself. When down to 65 Degree C, it turns back on
