I have been shooting 25A filters for the last 45 years. Got the 29 (B+W 091) for my 40mm Hasselblad Distagon. With Ilford FP-4 processed in Pyrocatechin, it is perfect! Beautiful dark sky/cloud contrast. This will be my go to filter for landscapes. And Adorama is the only one I found that had it in stock.

I really like the B&W Filters for B&W film photography. Hard to find filters in the 105mm size and, as usual, Adorama was the only one to have them in stock.

The best for B&W film

Find the perfect tool to elevate your black and white photography with the 105mm Dark Red Multi Coated Glass Filter #091 (29). This premium quality filter is designed to add a dramatic touch to your images, creating a surrealistic effect that transforms ordinary landscapes and architectural scenes into extraordinary works of art.
With the ability to produce a "storm-like" cloud effect, this filter enhances the visual impact of the sky by deepening the contrast between clouds and the background. The "moonlight" effect it offers can imbue nighttime scenes with a mysterious and ethereal quality, while the "wood" effect emphasizes textures and patterns in nature and still-life compositions.
This filter is also an invaluable asset for photographers specializing in still-life photography, where tonal separation is key to achieving depth and dimension in the final image. Additionally, it serves an important role in the reproduction of documents, bringing clarity to texts that have faded over time and have become difficult to read.
Crafted with a multi-coating to reduce reflections and improve light transmission, this filter ensures that your images maintain the highest quality without compromise. The filter factor of approximately 8 indicates a requirement for an increase in exposure, allowing for precise control over the depth of your photographs' tones.
Whether you're a seasoned professional or an enthusiastic hobbyist, the 105mm Dark Red Multi Coated Glass Filter #091 (29) is an essential addition to your photography kit, especially for those who appreciate the timeless appeal of black and white imagery. Discover the creative possibilities and refine your photographic vision with this exceptional filter from Adorama's extensive collection of photography equipment.
