I'm a big fan of B+W filters so I knew when I started to get into M glass that I was gonna need a few. For one thing I wanted an ND filter to be able to achieve some creamy bokeh shots and it does exactly that. Very well made, filters 100% recommend.

Why settle for less when you can capture stunning, professional-grade photographs with the 40.5mm Master 806M ND 1.8 6-Stop MRC Nano Neutral Density Filter This high-performance B+W ND filter is designed to reduce light transmission by six f-stops, making it an ideal choice for photographers seeking to create dramatic effects in their images.
With this advanced filter, you can effortlessly transform an exposure time of 1/60 s into a full second without altering the aperture or depth of field (DOF). This feature allows you to render moving water as a soft, hazy blur, adding a touch of artistic flair to your photography. Please note that a tripod is recommended for optimal stability and precision.
Crafted from finely ground and polished special glass, this ND filter ensures exceptional optical quality that won't compromise the performance of your high-end lens. The filter employs innovative thin-film technology, which not only enhances the ND filter effect but also optimizes it with a unique coating combination.
This coating combination includes a multi-layer anti-reflective component with seven layers on each filter side, effectively eliminating unwanted reflections. An additional outer layer boasts dirt- and water-repellent properties, providing robust protection for the filter and simplifying maintenance and cleaning of the filter pane.
The 40.5mm Master 806M ND 1.8 6-Stop MRC Nano Neutral Density Filter offers uniform light attenuation across the entire visible range, delivering optimally color-neutral image results for a true-to-life representation of your subject. Please be aware that ND filters are not suitable for direct visual solar observation due to the risk of blinding, as they allow UV- and IR-rays that can harm the eyes. For safe solar observation, please consider special sun filters available from astronomy suppliers.
