If you want to protect the front element of the lens without sacrificing the optics of the lens, it pays to go with superior filters even though they cost a bit more.

Good filter adds a touch of warmth and is good for protecting the lens. I leave it on all the time.

• Due to its light pink color, the KR 1.5 reduces excess blue cast giving a pleasing, warmer picture tone.
• At the same time, it blocks ultraviolet light and reduces haze in the scene.
• The skylight filter, like the UV 010, may be kept permanently on the lens for protection.
