Great substitute for an infrared camera

Just as a painter uses different brushes to create unique strokes, photographers rely on a variety of filters to capture the world in distinct ways. B & W presents three specialized filters for infrared photography, each designed to bring out specific aspects of the unseen world.
The #092 filter, with its dark red hue, is primarily designed for black and white infrared films. It adeptly filters out light below 650 nm, making it an ideal tool for photographers looking to explore the depths of infrared photography. When used with color infrared film, it produces images of a pure red, effectively utilizing the relatively low sensitivity of infrared films. Its filter factor ranges approximately between 20 and 40.
Next in the lineup is the #093 filter. This black infrared filter is a powerhouse, filtering out the entire visible spectrum. It is specifically used with black and white infrared films that have a sensitivity up to 1000nm. The filter factor for this model is determined by the film sensitivity, making it a versatile tool for a range of photographic scenarios.
Lastly, the #099 filter, with its unique orange color, blocks the blue and blue-green portion of the visible spectrum up to 500 nm. This feature reduces the excessive sensitivity of color infrared films in this spectral range, resulting in more evenly separated colors and preventing a blue tint. The filter factor for this model depends upon the film's sensitivity.
Whether you're a seasoned professional or an enthusiastic beginner, these B & W infrared filters offer a new perspective on the world around you, enhancing your photographic capabilities and broadening your creative horizons.
