Invaluable filter. I use this constantly for landscape photography. I would have liked a 3-stop or more version. One improvement would have been if the filter was marked to show level position. I marked mine with a tiny white dot of paint to show the level position.

Graduated Neutral Density

Great product. Very effective in darkening light skies.
Take your photography to the next level with the 52mm Graduated Neutral Density 0.6 MRC 702M Filter, a high-quality and durable tool designed for serious photographers. This 2-stop graduated filter is adept at attenuating light twice as much as the 701M Filter, transmitting just 25% of the incoming light. This results in dramatic effects in your images, particularly when capturing landscapes or architectural scenes.
The 702M Filter is designed with a soft edge coating, effectively reducing unwanted reflections and glare. This feature is crucial for maintaining the integrity of your images, especially when the horizon line is near the center of the frame.
Constructed from optical glass, this filter boasts a multi-resistant coating (MRC) by B+W. This extraordinary multiple layer coating is not only highly effective but also harder than glass. This makes the filter resistant to scratches, even during cleaning, and repels water and dirt, making maintenance a breeze.
The 702M Filter employs the standard B+W rotating F-Pro filter mount, crafted from brass for added durability. This mount has a front accessory thread and is thinner than its predecessor, introduced in 2001. This slim design allows the filter to be used with wide-angle lenses, including most 24mm focal lengths on a full-frame body, without the risk of vignetting.
One of the standout features of the F-Pro mount is its modified retaining ring. Unlike traditional designs, this ring holds the filter glass in place from the back, reducing the risk of loosening when removing a tightly screwed filter or lens hood.
In summary, the 52mm Graduated Neutral Density 0.6 MRC 702M Filter is a versatile and easy-to-use tool that can significantly enhance your photography by reducing lens flare, increasing contrast, and providing a more natural transition in exposure.
