Sometimes I forget just how much better B+W filters are than others. I again tried a more budget-oriented brand and finally had to replace it. These polarizers are just so good - very pronounced effect, smooth turning, no perceptible color cast, and I have never, not once had a B+W filter get stuck on a lens. I have used the top -of-the-line polarizers from B+W, but honestly this entry-level model is all I need for my professional work.

Circular polarizing filter is a must for landscape photography. The B+W was a great choice. It fits snuggly on the lens but is easy to take off when not needed. Allows plenty of light onto the sensor while blocking reflections from water or chrome. Gives nice rendering of colors without being overly saturated.

An excellent choice

Circular polarizing filter is a must for landscape photography. The B+W was a great choice. It fits snuggly on the lens but is easy to take off when not needed. Allows plenty of light onto the sensor while blocking reflections from water or chrome. Gives nice rendering of colors without being overly saturated.
Discover the transformative power of the 62mm Basic Circular Polarizer MRC Filter by B+W, a trusted name in high-quality photography equipment. This versatile and easy-to-use filter is a must-have tool for both analog and digital photography, enhancing the vibrancy and purity of inherent colors in your images.
Experience the magic of radiant white clouds against a deep blue sky or the rich hues of autumn foliage, all amplified by this effective polarizer. The filter's rotating mount allows you to visibly control the polarization effect directly in the viewfinder or on your monitor display, giving you complete creative control over your photography.
Beyond color enhancement, the B+W polarizer also serves to reduce unwanted reflections from non-metallic surfaces such as water, glass, and glossy paint. This feature allows objects and people behind such surfaces to become visible again, offering a fascinating image enhancement without the need for post-processing.
Designed as a circular polarizer, this filter is compatible with nearly all modern cameras, ensuring no exposure errors when beam splitters are used in the light path for TTL exposure metering or autofocus. With a multiplying factor of 2 to 3, equivalent to 1 to 1.5 f-stops, this filter outperforms other polarizers that only reach up to approximately 3 stops.
In landscape photography, the maximum polarization effect is achieved when shooting at a 90-degree angle to the sun. To maintain an even effect in your images, and due to uneven skylight polarization, your focal length should ideally not be less than 28mm in 35mm format.
In an ideal situation, with the correct lighting and shooting angles matching the angle of maximum polarization (usually 30 to 40 degrees), reflections can be completely suppressed with the use of this polarizer.
Invest in the 62mm Basic Circular Polarizer MRC Filter by B+W and elevate your photography to new heights of color saturation, contrast, and clarity.
