Sometimes I forget just how much better B+W filters are than others. I again tried a more budget-oriented brand and finally had to replace it. These polarizers are just so good - very pronounced effect, smooth turning, no perceptible color cast, and I have never, not once had a B+W filter get stuck on a lens. I have used the top -of-the-line polarizers from B+W, but honestly this entry-level model is all I need for my professional work.

Circular polarizing filter is a must for landscape photography. The B+W was a great choice. It fits snuggly on the lens but is easy to take off when not needed. Allows plenty of light onto the sensor while blocking reflections from water or chrome. Gives nice rendering of colors without being overly saturated.

An excellent choice

Circular polarizing filter is a must for landscape photography. The B+W was a great choice. It fits snuggly on the lens but is easy to take off when not needed. Allows plenty of light onto the sensor while blocking reflections from water or chrome. Gives nice rendering of colors without being overly saturated.
Find the perfect solution to enhance your photography with the B+W 77mm Basic Circular Polarizer MRC Filter. This high-quality, durable filter is designed to augment the purity of intrinsic colors, increase color saturation, and reduce unwanted glare and reflections from non-metallic surfaces such as water, glass, and glossy paint.
Experience the magic of capturing radiant white clouds against a deep blue sky or the vibrant colors of fall foliage with this professional-grade polarizer. The rotating filter mounts allow you to visibly control the polarization effect directly in your viewfinder or on your monitor display. This means you can adjust the filter to achieve the desired effect without any need for post-processing.
One of the standout features of the B+W polarizer is its ability to make objects and people behind reflective surfaces visible again. This fascinating image enhancement feature can bring a new dimension to your photography, whether you're shooting a bustling cityscape or a serene landscape.
The B+W 77mm Basic Circular Polarizer MRC Filter is a circular polarizer, making it compatible with nearly all modern cameras that use beam splitters in the light path for TTL exposure metering or autofocus. This ensures that exposure errors are avoided, giving you consistently high-quality results.
With a multiplying factor of 2 to 3, equivalent to 1 to 1.5 f-stops, this filter offers more flexibility than other polarizers that go up to approximately 3 stops. This makes it a versatile addition to your photography equipment.
For optimal results in landscape photography, aim to shoot at an angle of 90 degrees to the sun to achieve the maximum polarization effect. Remember, with the right lighting and shooting angles, a properly oriented polarizer like the B+W 77mm Basic Circular Polarizer MRC Filter can completely suppress reflections, providing you with stunning, professional-grade images every time.
