These are great filters! Super easy to clean, nothing ever really sticks to the glass. They are fully transparent unlike some cheaper uv filters. And super thin, it feels as if you are pretty much adding nothing to the front of the lens but it's now protected. I'll be buying these for all my lenses now.

I've used many different filter brands over the years, and I've found that B+W are always reliable. This one is no exception. It's completely clear and free of distortion, and very easy to clean due to the nano coating. The frame is super thin but still has front threads to add another filter or get a good grip with your lens cap. It's easy to remove as long as you don't twist it too hard onto your lens.

Tiny 49mm size that cover my FE 40mm f/2.8 G lens. Works as expected. Brass ring helps in screwing on and off and love the sound when touched.

Very clear filter without any additional colour cast. It does add flare if lens is pointed directly at the light source - I am not sure if any filter can avoid doing this - filter introduces an extra reflective surface by being there. Outside is easy to clean. I always use B+W for their quality. Nikon NC is very nice as well but higher priced.

A perfect fit for the Leica Cl's 18mm lens. Images are not negatively impacted by using this filter and protecting a lens that cost $1000 is common sense. Don't take chances. Item was in stock, promptly shipped and well packaged for the mail.

It does what it?s supposed to do. Protects my lens while being invisible. Having had one expensive tele lens catch a direct hit from a line drive while photographing a baseball game, I can appreciate what this clear glass filter does. It saved my tele lens. Don?t leave home without one.

The filter is good. I DOES catch flair, but I'd rather risk that, than cleaning the lens, which I know I'd have to do. Other than that doesn't seem to affect quality of the picture, and the "MRC nano" coating is extremely hydrophobic, which make it easy to clean from stuff that sticks/dissolves in water. The star taking off because other things, like the new lenspen "clear carbon", doesn't go off this surface easily. And the filter comes with some kind of residue from the factory that if you try to remove that goes around, unless you apply extensive mechanical cleaning with tissues.

I purchased this filter a few years ago, put it on my lens, and never took it off. It had absolutely no effect on my photographs, but? One day while taking photographs, I fell from an embankment about 8 feet. I landed on my camera, and while I suffered multiple broken bones and completely smashed the filter, the lens survived with just a few minor scratches, as did the camera. I immediately purchased another filter!

This filter is so flawless that I had to touch the glass to be sure it was there. It doe not distort images at all. There are no ripples, no scratches and no shine. Beautiful! I bought this to protect my Canon 100-400 Lii lens--not from drops but from dust and fingerprints. It does the job and is really easy to keep clean.

The B+W has slightly more reflection than the Nikon NC filters. The reflection is also more bluish than Nikon. I only see this when shooting directly into stage accent lighting, so I just remove them when I have to get those shots. The MRC nano is definately easier to clean than the non-nano. For the difference in price from Nikon, I use these on lenses that are more likely to be exposed to harsh environments, although I have yet to have to toss one of either brand.
