January 09, 2017 While this is only a step-up ring and not rocket science, it is a B+W product and still made in Germany.. B+W still manufacturers even a step-up ring with quality and pride. The current owner of B+W, Schneider of Germany still maintains the quality that B+W is known for as does Schneiders own optical products. Using optical glass from the Schott Glass Works does not hurt either.. I have done a lot of aviation photography in cold and hot conditions and B + W never let me down. I never needed to use a plier / wrench to unscrew a step-up ring or a filter.. I have learned the hard way, don't buy less expensive items most of the time, your end result and pocket book will suffer in the end.

I bought this so I could own only one size filters for all lenses which works great except for circular polarizers. I don't know if the fault is more with the threading on this adapter or the size of the inner ring on the Nikon polarizer but it can be nearly impossible to separate these two once connected. I thread that filter very loosely and have filter wrenches at the ready. Even still, have been stuck in the field with the polarizer soaking up light when I didn't want it.

Buy a set of filters for your largest lens and use the pings to adapt to smaller lenses. Big money saver!

I wanted to purchase a couple of polarizer filters for a couple lenses that I have. This little step up ring helped me save a ton of cash by letting me use the adapter on a single filter to use on multiple lenses. I didn't even know this item existed and I am very please with this purchase. I use to for a polarizer filter on my Nikon 16-85 lenses with 67mm thread as well using the same filter on my 35mm prime lens with 55mm filter thread. Very please overall with this item.
