Very lightweight and easy to use. Really makes purchasing a different filter for each lens unnecessary

I bought ND filters to fit my favorite lens (a 24-70) which has a 82 mm filter size but wanted to be able to use them with my wide angle (10-22) which has a 77 mm filter size. Finally took it out for a spin. Threads worked fine on both lenses with two different ND filters. I do recommend never over-tightening these pieces on any end (filter to ring or ring to camera). A gentle touch works to unscrew all parts - even in the field when you're rushing. Definitely a great purchase.

B&W filter. It is so difficult to remove. Not a good solution. Must be a better way.

I have owned less expensive step-up and -down rings before, and they were simply not as good. This one is extremely rigid, the threads smooth and accurate, and they do not bind or stick. NOTE however - and this goes for all lens threads - that dirt on the ring or lens threads can cause binding, so cleanliness is a must for all such accessories. Also, finger tight is enough. While this ring is quite rigid, some lenses have "soft" threads (as do some other accessories) which can be warped by over-tightening, and you are stuck. Used properly, this ring will give years of trouble-free service.

I purposely bought this step-up ring from Adorama because 1. the B+W name (I equated with quality) plus I was using it with a B+W brand polarizer, so I though "what better assurance I'm getting the best possible combo, so what could go wrong"? The fist time I used it, it became permanently stuck. I tried filter wrenches and all the Youtube suggestions out there, so no avail. needless to say I am extremely disappointed.

Very good build quality. Used this to put a very thick filter on an Ultra Wide Zoom to avoid vinetting.

There are much cheaper adapters available. They all bind up or don't go on smoothly. The B+W works smoothly and doesn't collect grit.
