These are quality batteries at a great price. I've went cheap before but I never get the quality these offer.

Adorama has the best deal on bulk purchase of Maxell AA alkaline batteries. I try to use rechargables when I can but a lot of things need the full 1.5 volts of alkaline batteries. My kids go through batteries like water to power all their toys and this is the most economical way to be sure I have enough on hand.

Well. I thought I was getting a deal but the price tells the truth. These are cheap batteries. They work just fine although I can't really attest to their longevity since I haven't used a full battery yet to compare. What I can say is that within less than 2 months of buying these brand new, several started to leak acid and upon inspection, more look to be on the verge. Literally just sitting in the box here in NYC in my normal temperature apartment. Meanwhile, other older batteries from other brands are just fine. I even had 2/4 leak in my Instax Wide camera and it wouldn't turn on! I had to bust out the vinegar and get rid of the leakage in order for the camera to power back up. That's pretty unacceptable. Definitely will NOT be buying these ever again. I'm legitimately afraid to put them into my nicer Super 8 cameras or portable LED lights which is what I bought them for.

Rather than spending a bunch of time charging NIMH batteries, it's easier to use these very inexpensive Maxells. They don't lose charge when sitting on a shelf the way NIMH batteries do.
