Batteries take up to 3 DAYS to charge. While charging four at a time, one inadvertently leaks and must be discarded. After charging, I placed in my mini-mag flashlight. After two weeks the batteries started leaking in my flashlight. Was extremely difficult to remove batteries. Now new batteries would not fit back into mini-mag. Discarded both flashlight and batteries. Batteries could probably be used for something that needs constant changing of batteries so they don't have time to start leaking and if they do you can throw them away.

I had high hopes for this unit. I go through a lot of AA batteries, through flash and GPS units. The batteries, after being fully "regenerated", the batteries had very little life, 10-20% of full charge. The unit is very specific, it doesn't "recharge" batteries. I am going back to rechargeable batteries and backup new batteries.

Viatek ReNu-It Disposable Battery Recharger renews (recharge) disposable batteries up to 70 times. The great Thomas Edison first invented the principle of the Renu-It Technology over 75 years ago. He understood that an alkaline battery could be renewed, simply, by cleaning the cells.
From this principle, a group of inventors developed a technology that can reliably and safely regenerate "dead" batteries. The renewing process does not add anything to the batteries; it simply releases the potential that is already there, by perfectingthe internal structure of the cell.
This one unit will allow individuals to save the environment and at the same time save money!
