These cards are a little pricy but well worth it in convenience. I was using Cactus wireless triggers which work well but then if you are shooting on location they were just another piece of equipment I had to set up. The cards just remain installed and hold the trigger in memory. They only take a couple of min. to install and program and you are done.

The idea is to have a reliable system, every time you turn your flash on you have to hit the test bottom many times until the unit "records" the frecuency, well, I have tried even 100 times and the unit does not respond, bowens should include an extra finger with this unit. the other problem is that this does not just happen the first time but EVERY SINGLE TIME YOU TURN YOUR FLASH OFF, the idea of having a card inside the bowends heads is awsome because you will not have to worry about connecting the old pulsar system or any other radio trigger system but something went terrible wrong in this concept because this is worst than that, 50% of the times the card does not work and if you have multiple bowens heads and suddenly the radio system works, you will not be able to know which is triggering and which not so DONT TURN ANY OFF! if you, by any bad chance, turn the working one off you will loss the ability to trigger all your heads. THIS IS A GREAT CONCEPT but the card does not RECORD the frequency on long term basis. For a bowens item its really disappointing, specially because all new equipment is comming with the slot for this card.

The Bowens Pulsar Radio Trigger Card can be inserted into the slot on the back of the Gemini unit and then fit the antenna into the socket on the side and your monolight to receive signals from a Pulsar Radio Trigger unit mounted onto your camera.
