Not all connections are equal

I ordered the cable to connect from my DroidX to a USB port. Unfortunately, the "micro" male does not fit the DroidX "micro" female which made the purchase a waste. Rather than spend the resources to send it back I am looking for another use or will give it away. The problem I was hoping to solve remains unsolved.

Does NOT Work with HTC EVO 4G

The Item #:273622 - 2m USB 2.0 A Male to Micro-USB A Male Cable by CablesToGo is not compatible for Data Xfer or Battery Charging with the HTC EVO 4G phone. You must order the Item #:27365 - 2m USB 2.0 A Male to Micro-USB B Male Cable (6.5ftfor Data Xfer or Battery Charging with the HTC EVO 4G phone. It (27365 NOT 27622) is the best dual USB I have ever had. I will be ordering two more for work desk and car.
