I bought this duo because I needed a wide angle for real estate photography and a nifty 50 for portraits. The 17 isn’t wide enough and the 50 when using for video changes auto focus too much so I have to use auto to focus then turn it off to record and do it back end forth when the focus changes. I only paid 799 so it’s worth about that. The chromatic aberration on the 50 almost renders it useless unless the light is perfect and the 17-40 isn’t far behind it. I use both lenses on the canon r with ef-RF adapter

I can use these lenses with my Canon camera and with a Fringer Adapter I can also use them on my Nikon Z 6 opening all kinds of possibilities for using the Z6 that I would not have otherwise until Nikon provides more affordable options on the Z mount.

Got this highly rated classic lens combo at a great price and they work great with my Nikon Z6 and the Fringer EF-NZ adapter. I intend to use it for Landscapes and Sunsets. Auto Focus is quick and accurate for walk around shots and the USM zoom is very quiet for those thinking of using it for video. Given how few enthusiast native lens are available for the Z mount this became a lower cost better alternative for me instead of the Nikkor S mount f/4 14-30mm and the 50 f/1.4 is a bonus which gives me a lens for low light situations. I went for the full bundle to get the filters to see how much I might need or use them.

Spent 5 days trying to contact the financing people to make an early payment before I got the paperwork. 5 days of call back later. Never had so much trouble trying to make a payment. As long as you have those people handle financing, you'll never be more then mediocre to me.

Yes I do recommend the lens bundle but with some reservation, 17-40 mm works as advertised but I am very disappointed with the 50 mm lens, it certainly takes sharp detailed pictures, but the focus ring seems to be lose and has a bit of a play when focusing . it feels very cheap . I am asking for a replacement of the 50 mm lens

The 50mm is great, 17-40mm has poor focus and my similarly priced Sigma is far superior.

Just what I needed to go with my 24-105 and 100-400. Replaced an old 50 1.8 with the 50 1.4. Plenty of free accessories to keep my glass clean and protected.

I was looking for a wide angle zoom lens for my 6d mark2, mainly for landscape and group portraits. This lens is very sharp throughout the zoom range, with only minimal vignetting at the 17 mm range. It is also well suited for a crop sensor camera. A nice bonus is the 50mm f1.4 that is included in the kit. A nice lens for small group portraits and still life photography. The $849 price tag is an exceptional bargain for two exceptional lenses.

Seamless ordering process! Lenses arrived on time in perfect physical condition. Used the 50mm and it works as expected. I have a 17-40 already but giving this one to my son for his birthday. Can't wait for him to try it out.
