Lightening Fast
Great kit lens. Auto focus is insanely fast; blink & you'll miss it. As others noted, focusing wheel could be a tad wider...but that doesn't affect operation. Image stabilization is too notch. I took the photo below as I came to a crossroad from inside an idling (vibrating18-wheeler big-rig semi truck. Sharp as a tack.

Great except...
Great lense, especially for the price. Light weight, always works well. Only problem is the silver "stripe" came off which is disappointing for a Canon product. Doesn't affect function or quality of pictures just isn't something I would expect from Canon.

Light but still performs.
Used this to replace a much more expensive super wide zoom. I did so because of this lens is much lighter and that's what I needed. Had to give up 2.8 but I'll live with that.

Great Lens
The Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/4-5.6 IS STM Lens is a great lens to add to your Lens assortment. It has great dof. The image quality isn't superb but this lens is a great buy for a beginner, hobbyist, or someone on a budget. It is quick, silent and has accurate focusing.

Amazingly easy
I got this lens for my birthday and it has given me a great experience! It is my favorite lens to use, especially for landscape and portrait photography. The pictures are always really crisp and easy to work with. 10/10
