Just like the non-refurbished model, this lens is the "go-to" lens for nearly any time we shoot people. It is ALWAYS at the weddings we shoot, and we also use it quite frequently for family portraits (especially when the group size changes and we need the ability to recompose quickly using just the zoom). As a larger company, we have 5 of these lenses (2 refurbished and 3 originals). We haven't noticed any discernible difference between the originals and the refurbished ones. A solid lens with a lot of history and well-loved by nearly everyone who uses it. Yes, it is a bit heavy, but the image quality is well worth it, in our opinion.

I picked up this lens for my initial wedding season and it is a must have. I love primes but I don't always have time for quick lens change. AF is good, lens is solid, images are sharp and full of color.

I was lucky enough to get one of these right before all of the price increases. I got it mainly to compliment my 70-200 for weddings. I am finding I can use it for other things as well. Good solid lens.

A fantastic upgrade from 24-105 f4 L IS. IS was a worthy trade off for one extra f-stop of light. If I could have only one lens it definitely would be 24-70 f2.8. Highly recommended.

picked this lens for weddings and Ll around use. Amazing quality. I have read great things about refurb lenses and so for they are 100 percent accurate. Lens is mint and there is no distinction between a refurb and non refurb lens. Very smooth action on focus and zoom ring. A tad heavy for all day walk around but completely worth the extra weight. Auto focus is extremely fast and very accurate. Color and contrast rendition are very high quality. If you want an amazing all around le Around lens and wedding photography lens, this is it!

Best all around medium telephoto I ever had. It takes great crystal clear pictures. I wish that it went to 135m and had IS on it. It is a fast lens and the IS would help in dark conditions.

I was a little worried about the purchase being that it was a refurb. Worried no more, this thing rocks, I would definitely buy a refurb lens from Adorama again. Of course you can never go wrong with a "L" series lens. For those complaining about its weight, I am use to using a 70-200 2.8 IS, that is heavy, I will take the weight of this lens any day.

Canon's original ring USM (Ultrasonic Motor) makes autofocusing fast, accurate and silent, down to a reduced minimum focusing distance of just 15 inches. The Lens is now sealed against dust and moisture
