Pretty great, almost perfect
I am a big fan of Canon gear, but I'm not completely sold on their wider angle prime lenses, due to sharpness and other image quality issues. I own this lens and it steps up the bar for canon. My sharpest Canon lens seems to be the 135 f2 L, which has pretty much no visible CA, and crazy sharpness. The 85mm L is also pretty amazingly sharp. This lens is worth it. I love it!
I bought this lens after I bought the Sigma 1.4 Art. I loved the images I was getting with the Sigma in terms of the quality of the focal range and color -- everything really. EXCEPT, I was using it primarily in very low light and was having consistent issues with Auto-Focus in low light wide open. I traded it back in and spent double to buy this lens. It is much better focusing in the low light for me.
