This lens shows another world in our own world.
I've had this lens for a couple of days, and I am amazed every time I use it! This lens opens up another universe in our own neighborhoods. Details of insects, spiders, and flowers is very sharp, with great color resolution. I don't know all the technical specifications of this lens; I'll leave that up to the professionals to write about. What I do know is that these images are superb. Really Fun Lens!
I'm still learning to use this lens, and I've never had a macro lens before, but this has been a really fun experience. I really like the F/2.8 aperture on this lens and it works well for portrait type photos as well as macro. The adjustable macro ring light is an awesome feature - two brightness settings, and you can light one side or the other, which comes in really handy - see coin pic. Bright f/2.8 Aperture and 35mm* Standard Angle of View
With a large, bright maximum aperture of f/2.8 you can let in a lot of light, as well as create beautiful shallow depth of field effects. The 35mm* standard angle of view gives you an equivalent of 56mm on a full-frame camera, making the EF-S 35mm f/2.8 Macro IS STM a fantastic walk-around lens for snapshots, street photography, portraits and anything where lots of detail is a bonus.

Hybrid IS (Shake Correction Function)
