I also wasn't sure if the Canon 52 Close up lens 250D was compatible- but it should be. I use it every chance I get. You will need to play with it a little learning how close to get to your object to get a clear shot, but you will get it! Right when I was going to return it I taught myself how to use it. Don't give up it does work! Good Luck! MarlaBRAD S : I have used the canon 250d on a Lumix Vario 14-45(28-90 in SLR terms) and have had excellent results.JAMES T : I believe you will be able to use this closeup lens on your 18-55; I am using this on my 105/2.8 micro lens. Note: As the depth of field is very limited, mounting the camera on a tripod is highly recommended.

Very good quality closeup lens!

I would recommend this product to use in gem and jewelry macro photography and use in front of the macro lens. You will be able to get focus closer to the subject.

This item is a fantastic addition to my Powershot A509 IS - what a great to increase the usage of a wonderfull point and shoot camera. Canon did a wonderfull job creating a nice camera, with wonderfull features that just are not available on other models.

Really Good

This lense works as advertised. I have Canon A540 and it takes really clear close up pictures. I was impressed. However, Canon's instructions for use, both with the lense and with the camera, were not very good at all. I look forward to developing my technique and the purchase of Digi-Slave.
