It's probably justa learning curve - sometimes the focus is off a bit. But when I get it right it's great! Not as heavy as my older lens. I love it!

This canon lens has a lightning fast autofocus, delivering sharp focus across its range of f/stops. The IS II provides advanced compensation while handheld, which is noticeable at slower shutter speeds. The lens is not weather sealed but overall delivers a high quality performance. The only downfall is that it takes a long time to adjust without automatic focus. (probably because of the wide range) but other than that it is a amazing lens; the quality is amazing, and the mm is prefect to reach close-up birds.

I bought this lens years ago with an 80D and used it for wildlife and sports. Earlier this year, I switched to an R6 Mark II, and this lens is the only EF lens I kept because it is still a quality piece of glass. I am still using it for sports and now landscape photography. I have no plans to replace it unless it quits working.

I haven't used the lens just yet, but the fit, finish seems to be on par with my other Canon lenses.

A very nice lens that I got about two months ago. I compared it to my old 70-200 L lens (over 12 years old) and I must say the quality of the photos are pretty much the same (when outdoors). Indoors we got a problem, because this lens only does f/5.6 at max zoom, so that is not much light. But when outdoors?! This lens is wonderful! [1] Very light weight [2] Affordable [3] SUPER fast and quiet focusing [4] Easy-to-use stabilization [5] only slight chromatic aberration

I waited and waited for this to come into stock again at Best Buy. When the lens was working took great action photos. Then it randomly started shutting down. I would get a lens error then messages saying camera must shut down. Then the camera couldn't shut down or turn off so to the point that I had to take the battery out of the camera to restart it. I was so disappointed that I had to return it. Best Buy was out of stock again so couldn't even try another one to see if first was defective.

Only L options in this zoom range are extremely heavy (and white. Not a fan of the colour or weight. Waited for this lens to be in stock and ordered. Used for a recent trip to Hawaii. Unbelievable picture quality and focus speed. Absolutely no noise during focus. Again, the quality and colour of the pictures are unreal. For the money, lower weight, and non stand out colour, this lens is worth every penny and then some. Truly impressed!

Great all-around tele-zoom, and sharp. Not as bright to focus with as my 300 2.8, but it?s a lot smaller and lighter for everyday shots. A versatile addition to my gear. Easy to use, the fastest autofocus I?ve seen. No tripod collar, but this lens is so easy to handle, and with IS, it doesn?t need one. Bought this lens to supplement, not replace any other lenses, feel like I got a lot for the price.

Lens works fine. I like the lighter weight as compared to similar lenses because I can hike with it and hand-hold. The L lens has better apertures than this and more weather proof, but for difference in $ and weight, this works for my purposes.

I wanted a telephoto lens for my M50 with a bit more range than the EF-M 55-200mm, and this lens fit the bill nicely. It’s not the best in low light conditions, but performs flawlessly in well lit environments.

I've used an older camera and had been using a Tamron 18-200 lens. When I purchased my new Canon Rebel T7i camera I used it for several months with the Tamron lens, however, I wanted to get a new lens. I was recommended to Adorama by my brother who had recently purchased a similar lens for his Nikon camera. I loved the photos he showed me from his 75-300 lens, so I decided to get new lens too. I love the Canon EF 70-300 f/4.5-5.6 IS II USM Lens. It brings the birds and squirrels that come to my feeders in really well. I am very pleased with my new lens, and with Adorama's fast service.

I’m a beginner photographer, learning as I go. I’ve watched many tutorials from different people on Youtube, and I was drawn to this lens. I love my new lens, the pictures are perfect. My main reason to pick this Canon EF 70-300 f/4-5.6 IS II USM Autofocus Telephoto Zoom lens was to get closer to the birds I take photos of on my Canon Rebel T7i camera. It really brings the in birds and squirrels that come to my feeders, plus I wanted to take photos of the moon in it’s different phases. Love it, would highly recommend it.

This lens is awesome, I use it for everything from portraits to landscape shot. It has a nice sharp focus and the aperture goes low enough for a nice bokeh effect.

Amazingly fast focus, extremely sharp pictures with ease. In my opinion it has a very nice feel. It does not feel like an inexpensive lens ( at $500 is far from inexpensive ) but worth the cost. A great additional lens to expand from the stock lens. Very satisfied. The small LCD screen is a nice touch.

I am not a professional but an avid enthusiast and I really enjoy the Canon EF 70-300 IS II. It is very sharp and very versatile on a crop sensor EOS Canon camera. It focuses fast enough to catch great shots of water fowl and as I age the extra stabilization is fantastic.

Great lens, If you are new to this lens or wanting to upgrade from the stock lens: * Great for taking a detailed pic of an ant crawling quickly Of kids running around, jumping on things in daylight * Not so great on dim afternoons or in a forrest covering the light, need to get the kids to stand still, can’t capture them jumping off the rocks under cover. *Family pics - don’t expect to be fitting your family in the pic if you are less than a car length away ;) For the price it is a great lens, just don’t expect for all lighting conditions as that requires fiddling with Iso and speed etc...
