About Canon CINE-SERVO CINEMA LENS
The CINE-SERVO 11-55mm T2.95-3.95 PL is a high-performance 8K lens featuring a wide angle of view of 100 degrees. It has Super 35mm sensor coverage and when its built-in 1.5x extender is engaged, it's able to cover full frame sensors, giving you added versatility.
With an ultra-wide-angle focal length of 11mm and a minimum focus distance of 0.6 meters, this lens is ideal for sports, live events, houses of worship, and more. Regardless of where you place the lens, its compact size and light weight will make shooting a breeze. Even with its ultra-wide focal length and built-in extender, the lens weighs 6.43 lbs.
Wide zoom range
Cover 11-55mm on Super 35mm and extend to 82.5mm with the built-in 1.5x extender. The 100° field of view captures sweeping scenes, while a 0.6m minimum focus distance lets you move in close without changing lenses.
The first CINE-SERVO lens to achieve a focal length of 11mm with Super 35mm sensor coverage and Full Frame 35mm sensor coverage with the built-in 1.5x extender engaged.
8K-ready optics
Large-diameter aspherical elements and anomalous dispersion glass maintain sharpness and accurate color from edge to edge. The lens supports 8K resolution, HDR workflows, and cinematic skin tones for consistent visual quality across Canon’s cinema lineup.
Smooth servo control
The advanced servo unit enhances iris and focus response, minimizes focus breathing, and adds a USB-C port for saving or loading settings. Operators can quickly switch between handheld, gimbal, and crane setups while keeping adjustments precise.
Cinematic bokeh
An 11-blade iris produces smooth, circular bokeh across the zoom range. Highlights stay natural, and transitions between focus planes feel cinematic.
Metadata and mount integration
Supports Cooke /i, ZEISS eXtended Data, ARIA, and ALAC, giving productions access to real-time metadata and post-production efficiency.

Dual Pixel CMOS AF / Dual Pixel CMOS AF II
4K shooting calls for focus accuracy so severe it can’t be checked on an HD monitor. This lens includes Dual Pixel CMOS AF with expanded distance measuring area to significantly reduce focus problems in 4K shooting.
Lens information display/recording
Lens information can be displayed on the viewfinder, and metadata such as lens name and position can be recorded in the image.
Consistent color balance
This lens is designed with a consistently warm color balance that reproduces skin tones more beautifully for better depiction of subject textures. Color reproduction remains stable even after changing lenses, reducing color adjustment with each shot and time and effort for postproduction.
HDR compatible
HDR images offer expanded tonal gradations and more natural expression, but they also eliminate white and black clipping, making color bleeding, ghosting and flaring more apparent. The chromatic aberration correction supports 8K to reduce color bleeding, while in-barrel light-shielding design and coating optimization reduce ghosting and flaring.
Virtual production support
A 12-pin interface and 16-bit encoder ensure accurate lens data output for virtual production and broadcast environments. Both mounts provide robust communication for precise camera-to-lens coordination.
