Came in box that said refurbished, but was basically brand new.

Through researching Canon refurbished lenses, I have learned the scrutiny they go through could result in a better lens copy than brand new. My lens arrived in immaculate condition. Some of these lenses are simply units that had to be reconditioned right out of the factory and never went into the field. Regarding the 85mm F/1.2L II lens- its incredibly sharp, and the bokeh blur possible with F/1.2 is legendary.

Bought it refurbished. It didn't come with the original box, but otherwise is as good as new. Absolutely no signs of wear. It works flawlessly. It is a really nice piece of equipment.
