EF 85mm f/1.4L IS USM
I love this lens!!! Sharpe, fast and so far my favorite go to for every session!!

Probably the best lens ever made
So there's this thing about this lens where if you have some leading lines it'll do the bokeh but it'll blur the objects closer to the focus point less than the objects farther away. It does this incrementally and very noticeably.
The images are stunningly three dimensional.
There's no other lens i know about where this effect is as apparent.
It's a little tough to find a shot with enough background and foreground context at 85mm but it can be done even on a crop sensor.
Sometimes the best art is created with tools that are difficult to use.

Great lens.
Images with this lens look just as good as images from the original 85 1.2 but the focus is a bit faster.
The adorama price with the bundle is exactly the same as just the lens from B&H. The filters and lens wrap are useful.
Adorama marketing has been a bit annoying. Over 20 emails trying to upsell extended warranty and or insurance. We get it already- send an email a few days after purchase and another when factory warranty wears out. The rest are just reminders that those insurance plans are pure profit for the store and are not worth it.

Sharp lens great for portraits.
I absolutely love shooting this 85 1.4. It's sharp, focuses quickly and although heavy, lets you know that it's there for the job. It is my stay on camera lens, where I change out lenses where needed, but this lens does a fantastic job when owner knows of its limitations.

Excellent lens
Excelent portrait lens, I also use it for some landscape picture. Auto focus is very fast, and the picture is very sharp. Overall I like the image quality of the lens.

Perfect portrait lens
I’ve been researching for a while before making decisions of 85mm f1.4 lens. It’s super fast focusing and has sharp image. Perfect shallow blurry background when f1.4. If you are looking for a lens that’s for outdoor portrait, this is a good choice, considering the price is better than f1.2.

This lens is exactly what I needed in my life! My portraits have the creamiest backgrounds and eye popping clarity of my clients! The speed still holds well for movement shots and the stills are breathtaking! I would buy this ten times over...it’s defining who I am as a photographer!

This version is worth it
I found the other reviews on this lense to be helpful. The 1.4 f stop over the 1.2 f stop is not a big loss. The IS on the lense is great for me. The bokeh is closer to a circle then on the 1.2 lense

LOVE IT! GET IT!
I have only good things to say about this lens! I would fight my 1.2 with focus. I would say in the 1.2 only 1/4 of the photos would be in focus. THE 1.4 NEVER MISSES! I WOULD TOTALLY RECOMMEND IT!!!! LOVE THE LENGTH... LOVE THE FOCUS.. LOVE EVERYTHING!

Performance
It is a good fit between the 85mm F/1.8 and the 85mm f/1.2. It replaces the 85mm F/1.8 and gives you an extra stop. It is not as heavy as 85mm f/1.2 and still give you an excellent performance with soft background. A Nice lens for portrait outside and studio. Great for close shooting which aloud some room between you a subject.

YOU NEED THIS!
If you are looking at this and trying to decide between the 1.2 and 1.4 I would recommend this one! I fought with my 1.2 for 4 years. When the 1.2 nailed focus it was great but it only nailed 2 out of 5 shots. This lens (the 1.4) nails focus every time!
