Great price this camera is more for longer lasting other than other dslr and can still swap canon lenses. 4k not in this price range so dont expect it for what the c100 does it gets job done. My only downside is wish it can do 60p rather than 60i. but canon must make their money for C100 II Great Website Great Prices.

Great product + great price = happy customer

I am absolutely in love with the C100 I purchased from Adorama. It's a great product...which is obvious. However, it's Adorama's price, ease of web navigation and expedited shipping that makes me even more satisfied with my purchase. Thank you, Adorama!

Beautiful image

No question, this is a great camera. My only two cents: be careful when plugging in the audio/handle. I had several pins bend on me and had to ship my unit back in for repairs, and of course, the extended warranty did not cover it. But otherwise, I foresee this camera lasting me a long time. It produces a beautiful image, the ergonomics are outstanding, and it has all the strengths of a DSLR and video camera.

Attractively priced, yet endowed with a rich Cinema EOS feature-set and optimized for one-person operation, the EOS C100 is a full 1920 x 1080 digital video camera that's compatible with Canon's entire range of EF Cinema and EF-lenses. Equipped with the same Super 35mm Canon 8.3 Megapixel CMOS image sensor and revolutionary Canon DV III processor as the EOS C300 and EOS C500 series cameras, the C100 is a more compact professional camera that's highly mobile and ideal for those seeking operational convenience and exceptional HD imagery.

Recording AVCHD format video to dual SD cards, the C100 is compatible with a wide range of workflows and can acquire content to suit a broad range of post production/color-grading preferences, including Canon Log Gamma and a new Canon Wide DR Gamma. Autofocus recording with supported AF lenses, a multi-angle control/LCD panel, a removable handle and rotating grip, and many other innovations provide compelling mass-market appeal.

Canon C100 with Upgrade Features

  • DUAL PIXEL CMOS AF: Dual Pixel CMOS AF is a sensor-based, phase detection autofocus (AF) technology designed to provide smooth, high-performance continuous focus in movies. Ideal for fast and accurate autofocus, helping filmmakers to create stunning footage which maximises the creative options offered by fast lenses and shallow depth-of-field.
  • Canon Super 35mm CMOS Sensor
  • AVCHD Codec
  • Push Auto Iris/One-Shot AF
  • Three Built-In ND Filters
  • Canon Log Gamma
  • Canon Wide Dynamic Range (DR) Gamma
  • Fully compatible with all Canon EF, EF-S and EF Cinema Lenses
  • Dual SD Card Slots
  • 29 Custom Picture Settings
  • Waveform Monitor/Edge Monitor Focus Assist
  • HDMI Output With Time Code
  • Built-In Microphone
  • Twin XLR Connectors in Handle
  • Compatibility with Third-Party Accessories
  • One-Shot AF: This function helps you to obtain precise focusing. Before recording starts, the camcorder focuses on a subject at the center of the screen when the ONE-SHOT AF button is pressed. The focusing status can be confirmed by the color of the frame.
  • Push Auto Iris: This function provides assistance in determining the exposure. It automatically adjusts the aperture in accordance with the brightness during recording. PUSH AUTO IRIS function is activated only while PUSH AUTO IRIS button is being pressed for manual aperture adjustment.
  • Wide Dynamic Range Gamma: The main feature of Wide DR Gamma is that it retains continuity of an image, unlike the knee function that compresses the signals in high brightness areas using linear gamma. Wide DR Gamma does not require post-production processing. Recorded data can be used as is. It also enables creative color grading opportunities.
