I volunteer in Rocky mountain National Park and I see a large number of visitors coming in to the visitor's center looking for a specialized battery or plugging in a charger and bringing their depleted camera battery back to life. If they had a car charger they could keep the battery alive while driving from one destination to another. I only buy equipment that uses off the shelf batteries so I don't get stuck. I always use a battery pack so I don't get stuck. When I travel and camp there may not be a way to charge my batteries. But a car charger solves that problem. Don't get stuck on a trip to the field with dead batteries. Buy the charger and keep extra batteries charged and ready to go. I hate to see the visitors in Rocky Mountain National Park miss a chance at photographing the beautiful mountains or a majestic bull elk because their camera battery was dead. Be prepared and improve your chances for getting all your shots. Get a charger for the car.
