TERRY A : Do you have cable for cactus V5 duo to Canon 5D Mark3 for use as a remote shutter release? other question: I assume I need it to go from the cactus to a three pin remote shutter connection on the canon not to the Flash connection on the canon?MATTHEW G : Terry, I have 3 sets of the cactus V5 triggers for my Canon. I also have the release cable. You attach the 3 pin cable into your camera with 1 of the V5 triggers connected. You set that trigger connected to the camera as a receiver. I use another V5 trigger as a transmitter to fire off the camera. Those 2 V5 share the same frequency. On my flash shoot on the top of my camera I have another V5 (in transmitter mode) that has the same frequency to my flashes. V5 triggers on my Flash are set to receiver. So this way I can remotely shoot with a trigger in my hand. My camera will shoot because of the cable. And when my shutter fires so will my flashes. You need 6 triggers in all to do this when you have 3 flashes. 4 triggers to use just one flash. and just a pair of V5 with the cable release to shoot off your camera remotely. The shutter fires via the (non-connected) V5. It's been working fine for my 5D3.
