I ordered the unit only to discover that it doesn't work with my Sony A7 III because Sony changed the hot shoe. The reason I still recommend it is because I think if it will work with your unit you'll have greater flexibility crossing product lines.

First this unit is a receiver and a transceiver built into one unit. You have to flip the selector switch to choose which one on the units will send and which will receive. Attach the send unit to your camera, attach the receive unit to your flash. More flashes add another unit. The Cactus V6IIs will work stand alone with the Cactus Flash only. Originally I purchased the unit to as trigger to work with my Sony Brand flash. Not knowing it didn't work stand alone I sent it back as it wouldn't trigger my Sony Flash. Only after reading and rereading the web site and watching some YouTube videos did I get it that you needed two of these units. If you have a Sony Flash you'll need two units or you'll have to buy a Sony Trigger. Personally I think the Godox product is a better value and more versatile as far a flash an flash triggers go.

Great product. Well finished. Finally SONY users have a radio trigger with all functions like High Speed Sync (Normal HSS and Power Sync), remote control of flash power and head zoom, remote AF light, etc. Also the V6IIs includes features like the remote shutter (additional cable needed), Relay mode, Sport Shutter mode (Additional cable needed), etc. Great that the Firmware can be updated via USB cable. To avoid "zebra stripes" on HSS you need to turn off the e-Front electronic curtain. I am really happy with my units. Until now I do not experience any misfire.

With the Cactus V6 IIs Wireless Flash Transceiver, Sony camera users can now enjoy a seamless, high-speed flash triggering experience. This device is specifically designed for Sony cameras and flashes, supporting High-Speed Sync (HSS) and offering remote control over flash power output and zoom angle.
The V6 IIs stands as the world's first Sony-supported wireless flash trigger that enables cross-brand HSS. This means it can control power output and zoom angle of Canon, Fujifilm, Nikon, Olympus, Panasonic, and Pentax system flashes simultaneously. This feature offers photographers the flexibility to use a variety of flash systems, making it a versatile tool for both professionals and hobbyists.
The device offers two High-Speed Sync modes. The Normal HSS supports shutter speeds up to 1/8000s, while the Power Sync mode boosts flash contribution above the camera's x-sync speed, making it ideal for extreme conditions where Normal HSS may not suffice.
The V6 IIs also features an automatic LED AF-assist light, which aids auto-focusing in low-light environments. This feature is activated even on off-camera units, facilitating focus when the camera is distanced from the subject.
The device is compatible with Sony devices with the MI (Multi-Interface) hot shoe, and older models with the Minolta/Sony iISO shoe can also be supported with a hot shoe adapter. This plug-and-play feature makes setup quick and easy for Sony users.
The V6 IIs allows for flash profile customization, enabling users to manually select from popular Sony flash models. For those seeking precise power outputs, each power level can be adjusted using the Cactus Profile Editor, a software that allows saving up to 10 personalized flash profiles.
The device also offers remote power and zoom control for all compatible TTL flashes, previously only available on the Cactus RF60 series Wireless Flash. This feature allows photographers to swiftly swap controls of power and zoom settings directly on the V6 IIs.
The V6 IIs supports multi-master functionality, allowing multiple photographers to trigger off-camera flashes simultaneously. This is particularly useful for events, weddings, and photography workshops.
The device is also compatible with the Cactus RF60 Wireless Flash series, supporting HSS and Power Sync. Other features include Lo Power, Absolute Power, TTL Pass-through, Group Sequence, Sports Shutter, Remote Shutter, Relay Mode, Delay Mode, and Firmware Update support.
Please note that the Cactus V6 IIs does not transmit TTL information wirelessly and is not compatible with flashes or strobes with reversed polarity connectors. It is compatible with Sony cameras with a Sony Multi-interface Shoe, a Minolta / Sony iISO hot shoe via an adapter, or a female sync port connection for basic flash triggering. It is also compatible with the Wireless Flash Transceiver V5 and Laser Trigger LV5 for basic flash triggering and shutter release.
