Doesn't lock on 5D Mark III

Purchased 2 covers for my pair of 5D Mark III bodies. The covers utilize a detent pin that engages with a pinhole in the hot shoe for retention. It does not seem that the detent pin is engaging the pinhole enough to retain the cover. It's very easy to slide the cover off without pressing the unlocking button. So expensive for this little piece of rubber and plastic with a metal insert, and it doesn't even work. Maybe the hot shoe area is shaped differently on the mirrorless bodies these covers were meant for, I don't know. Disappointing, and leaves me with no solution to protect my hot shoes from the elements.

Not so "locking" !

This is supposed to be a "locking" hotshoe cover, but the first time I used it (and made SURE it was correctly locked in place), it fell off and I lost it. So much for "locking" !
