An off-brand hood doesn't fit with a CPL already on the lens - wondering if the actual Canon one is different.HARRISON C : All of my canon hoods fasten to a bayonet mount on the lens that is larger and a bit rearward of the threaded filter ring thus clearing any round filtersJOHN S : It fits over the outside and works with the filters I have. However if you have a fliter that is larger diameter than the outer diameter of the lens it might cause a problem.KOICHI T : Yes, it fits well.

Great lens hood for the Canon M50 Mk ii kit lens

This lens hood does exactly what you want. 1. It stays out of the field of view for the Canon M50 Mk ii kit lens. 2. It blocks stray light from entering the camera. 3. It quick mounts in both usage position and storage position. 1. Mount in use position by placing the hood on the lens with the Canon logo and red dot on the shutter button side of the camera and rotating the mark toward the top. 2. Mount in storage position by reversing lens hood with red circle orientation mark facing the shutter button side of the camera and rotating the mark toward the top.

The right tool for the job

I originally purchased a cheaper after market lens hood the screwed into the filter threads which then requried you to remove the lens hood to change filters. This hood atatches to to outside of the lens and allows you better access to the filter. It also fits and stays in position much better. This is much better than the cheaper version.

Does what it is supposed to do

Protects your lens and reduced chance of flair. I always use lens hoods. I just wish Canon would start including them with their lenses.

Does what it is suppose too. It fits well and filter can stay on, too. Overpriced but not Adorama's fault. Canon's should have included with the lens like other brands.
