Seems of cheap quality and doesn't provide ample coverage. I've been a Canon user for 35 years... I expect better. Also, IMO, it should have been included with the 80D camera body and lens package I purchased.

Canon hoods are specifically for a specific Canon lens. This way they do not interfere with the lens view as you zoom and the store on the lens they are made for. So no hunting for the correct hood.

Fantastic DSLR lens hood! It attaches smoothly, securely, and instantly. It is reversible to reduce its footprint in a camera case, and it performs perfectly to reduce lens flare. It’s made of lightweight plastic, but appears to be sturdy. I know there are cheaper imitation hoods on the market, but spending hundreds of dollars on a lens, only to save a few dollars on an inferior lens hood seemed foolish, so I stayed with the Canon name and reputation. So far, I’d give this product five stars.

I already owned this lens and my son is getting into photography. He uses my 40D and was always borrowing my lens. I use a 7D and the lens came with it. It made sense to get a second one now we can both enjoy them

I've tried less expensive hoods and I'm always disappointed in the quality. The Canon hood for my 7D Mark ii is perfect. Fits nice and easy to thread. Doesn't get in my way. Reversible. I won't try another product again. Learned my lesson!

Living in the south the sun is very bright and this hood works like a charm to keep the light out.

I use this lens hood on my Canon 18-135mm lens. I had ordered a third party hood but it was so tight to put on that I was really concerned that I would damage the lens. I returned it and decided to pay more for the Canon brand lens hood. I am glad to report that the Canon lens hood fits perfectly as is should. Adorama has the best price on this hood. Nothing bad to report.

Fits my Canon 17-85 and 18-135 lenses. This lens hood can be reverse mounted for storage or for shooting without the hood. Seems to be good quality.

Not much you can really say about individual hoods, as they're designed for specific lenses. No unwanted vignetting... no unwanted lens flare. Not made of high-quality steel or anything, but unless you frequently sit on or otherwise abuse your equipment, it should hold up fine.

I only buy canon and it pays. This is a nice little addition to a really nice lens it protects the glass while keeping glair away

My Canon 17-85mm lense did not come with a hood but I often still needed one outdoors. Buying the brand name was a great choice because the as specifically designed to go with this lense the position of the openings allow enough light to come through while blocking the unwanted sun spots. It is easy to put on and is easily removed when you want more creative lighting. It is small; meaning it does not come into the wide angle view nor does it take up much space in your bag.

It's kind of loose on my 18-135 stm lens.

I use a hood whenever I have need to control lens flare. This lens hood does that well. The downside is the price. Lens hoods should be included with the lens Canon! That's not a knock on Adorama by any means; I appreciate them having them in stock!

I am pretty happy with it. Seems pricy for a small piece of plastic, but it works good, mount's easily and seems to be very solidly attached to the camera. It is just what I expected

For the price of Canon Lenses the hood should be included.

I use the lens hood when photographing wildlife, mostly birds. It is easy to place on the lens and remove/store when not in use.

An item I always like for my lens. Don't understand why Canon does not include this with their lens - had to buy it separately - my one complaint. Canon needs to consider adding this to the lens packages, it is NOT that expensive!

Lens Hood stays on my camera and reverses to become more compact when in bag. Lens cover can be put on both ways. Does its job in keeping the glare out but is a pricey piece of plastic. I would purchase again.

It works well, but it was rather expensive for just being a small piece of plastic.
