The Canon EW-73D lens hood fits my Canon RF 24-105mm f/4-7.1 lens perfectly. It costs slightly more than a third-party hood, but the Canon goes on/off smoothly and no need to worry if it will interfere with the view through the lens. It's too bad that the Lens doesn't come with a hood, but you definitely will benefit with a hood vs no hood. Stops/reduces lens flare.

Fits perfectly on the lens and is not too bulky to carry around. Does its job of getting a better exposed pictures and of removing flares. I overall have no complaints at all about the product if not the price that is a bit expensive for a lens hood but the quality of it makes up for the price.

Easy to attach and take off. The size is perfect for videography for indoor taping. Since using this hood, the videos I make have better lighting control. It keeps unwanted light out. I do recommend this hood if you have the Canon 80D with kit lens.

It may cost more than 3rd party part, but it functions great. Easy and fast on and off with on lens storage. Made not to interfere with photos. Can be put on for use or for storage without removing lens cap.

I bought this lens hood directly from Cannon, because the previous one I had bought screwed to the threads on the lens, which I did not like. This screws on the lens also, but it uses the baloney type threads which are on the outside of the lens. What does this do for you, someone may ask. Well it stays squared up on the lens where the other brands do not. It's kind of hard to explain, but it is way better. It also comes off easily and the lens cap still works wit it because it attaches on the outside threads as I stated earlier.

This lens hood is very hard to attach and remove. It appears to have some obstruction making it hard to completely attach and remove. I got it for use on 18 -135 mm lens.

I have not tried any third party hoods for this lens, but I cannot imagine any of them being better than this Canon hood. It goes on easily, either normal for shooting or reversed for storing. It has define "click" when it locks into place. It has an easy to use tab to unlock it. It fits easily over my filters and lens cap. I could not be happier.

Lens hood fits 18-135mm IS USM perfectly. It is much pricier than similar hoods from third party vendors, but the Canon build quality makes it worthwhile for me.

Canon products are always A-1. I particularly like the ease of mounting and de-mounting this lens hood. It is far superior to the more-or-less standard means of twisting on a bayonet type hood. Hey, it's a hood. It's the right shape for shadowing, protects the snout, reverses for stowage and it has a spring-loaded latch. To be frank, I wasn't hot on the extra complication of the latch, imho it's not at all necessary. However, it's been easy to locate and release by feel and so I must say that so far it's a non-issue. So long as it never breaks, we're golden.

I got the EF EF-S 18-135mm and for some reason the kit doesn't come with a hood. So the hood is great and it is perfect for the lens and I shot videos and stills in exposed environments and I am not a strong believer in the sense filters and this hood is great! I recommend this to all.
