Excellent quality & fit as you'd expect from Canon products. Expensive for what you get, but this isn't a cheap hobby. Works well to control flare outdoors. Side benefit is additional protection of the front of the lens. *Warning* - Hood will create shadows in image if used in conjunction with built-in flash at wide angles. Have not tested with external flash.

Excellent lens hood, quality you expect from Canon. Must be careful when using indoors with pop-up flash as shadowing can occur at wide focal lengths.

I've purchased cheaper lens hoods and they have worked fine, but you can tell they are cheap by the way they fit and feel in your hand. Bottom line is you get what you pay for. Canon makes quality products and this lens hood is no exception. It feels solid and snaps into position so you know it won't accidentally fall off.

The quality is amazing and it makes my Canon 7D look highly sophisticated when mounted in forward or reverse. I highly recommend getting the canon brand lens hood over a cheap third party one. You have a better peace of mind when purchasing the brand name hood and you are reminded when constantly looking at the canon logo. The inside of the lens hood features a soft black velvet texture to avoid sun reflections. As a frugal photographer, this was money well spent in my eyes and on the lens.

A much needed product for Canon's 15-85mm lens. I was thinking of going with a 3rd party hood, but decided to stick with Canon since I wanted to make sure the lens fit well. No complaints except for the fact that is a bit expensive and is almost 95% required if you are using the 15-85mm zoomed out to 15mm to combat lens flair.

This is a perfect fit for my EFS 15-85mm lens. I like the inside felt lining which you don't find in some third party hoods. Had a Promaster hood but it felt flimsy.

It's a nice accessory to the lens too bad Canon did not included as part of lens kit. It's expensive but the quality is excellent. Highly recommended.

I like it for added lens protection.....but it is difficult to get you fingers inside the hood to remove and reinstall the lens cap.
