Pleasantly surprised
i had read many comments and reviews about this cap slipping off. It fit my lens just right. The fact that it is metal is a plus. I'd hate to scratch the lens!

better than expected
The Canon lens caps for the 15mm EF Fisheye lens are known to be a poor design and fall off easily thus exposing the front lens element to damage. I just purchased a used 15mm lens with missing cap and a slight ding in the front hood. Fortunately, no damage to the lens or glass.
I have a tool to straighten the front ding which work well, in fact, I purpousely expanded the hood by a very slight amount.
I ordered the replacement cap from adorama, and it arrived quickly.
With the diameter of the front hood slightly expandad, the cap fits very snugly with no tendancy to come off, yet it does not bind or stick.
I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out, better than expected.
