Sorry but this cap did not fit. The cap has plastic things that seem like they should lock under the metal mount but the cap won't go down that far. I push the cap as far as it will go and it just turns 360 degrees without catching.

The product shown in the photo is the original metal cap. The product delivered was the newer plastic model that does not fit all 14mm lenses.

It is as good as OM caps. This front cap is deeper than Canon body caps because of the extender lens protruding toward the lens front.

The front cap for the 1.4X tele-extender is set deeper than the body cap that comes with your camera, so they are not interchangeable. Should you misplace this cap to protect your extender you will have to leave it attached to one of your lenses which will accept it. Having gone through this experience I now have 3 of these caps, they will also fit your Canon EOS bodies as well.
