Canon EOS RP

Canon EOS RP Is fantastic the image quality is top-notch the menu and selections is very easy also this is great for beginners or professional alike .I think Canon has out done Their self with a new R series and RF lenses. I have been a semi professional often on for over 35 years I have used so many different camera equipment starting off with 35 mm film to the digital. I think that Canon and Adorama Has made a new photographer me again. Also I recommend this camera and the Grip extension

A decent accessory but not worth the price at full retail.

The Canon EG-E1 is built with the same material that the RP itself is built with, which leads into it feeling like a natural extension to the camera. There are a lot of positive's about the grip, but I wanted to list a few glaring critiques about it. - The biggest issue is that the grip only has one screw in point, which is the tripod mount. This means no matter how much you tighten it, there will be give where your pinky sits if you use a heavier lens. When I have something like the 70-200 2.8L or even the native 24-105 RF lens, you can feel the grip seperate from the body if you hold your camera in certain positions. - You have to take your battery door out to put the grip on. Unlike other canon grips though, there isn't a chamber to slide your recently removed camera battery door into. So if you take the camera out of town and you want to make the camera a little lighter and more discrete, make sure to take that extra battery door with you. - A very small critique is I use the camera for twitch streaming, and it works great with it's clean HDMi and using an ac adapter. Unfortunately the adapter is NOT compatible with the EG-E1 as is unless you take the grip off first and then put the grip on after you put the cord through the rubber seal. This is probably not going to affect many people, but it is a little annoying. It's because of those three issues where I don't think the $ is really justified. it just seems very expensive for what it does and some of the quality it lacks.

Better than expected!

Although, I thought this would be a two battery’s grip, I am still glad I got it. I have big hands and this allowed me to hold this camera perfectly!

Extra shooting comfort for the EOS RP

Nice practical accessory to the EOS RP: adds the extra few millimeters to the camera’s height as a rest for the little finger of the average male hand, with a minuscule weight penalty.Extra shooting

Excellent accessory

If you have larger hands it's pretty much a must but small to medium hands might not want to spend the extra money for it.

Fantastic camera

This is a fantastic camera, I know there are a lot of bad reviews on youtube about it but everyone seems to be saying stuff about the video settings, we know there are a lot of youtubers outhtere who only want cameras to film their vlogs, this is a photo camera, I am a professional photographer and bought this to use it in smaller gigs, I just used it the other day to shoot a skateboarding competition and it was great, the autofocus is amazing, I also have the 35mm rf and that lens is great on the body.

Extension Grip for RP camera

I don't use this, but someone with large hands might find the camera a little small without it. I was going for smaller so will put it away with the camera box. There is a door to allow you to get at the battery compartment. Not sure how it would work with an Arca Swiss tripod mount in place.

Very useful

This grip looks and feels great. Having slightly larger than average hands, this grip is a must since the body is smaller. The access port is well designed and the grip overall is well made. I have no complaints and recommend it for anyone with larger hands.

Canon’s short extension grip for the RP is small, but very useful.

The grip extension is not large, but just the right size for those situations where you want a place to rest your pinkie finger. I find that it is helpful when using a larger lens because it gives a better grip and a bit more weight to the camera body. It’s also useful if you’re using a fast lens such as the 85 f/1.2L on a tripod because it raises the camera/lens a bit above the head so that you have more room to operate. It is easy to install and remove. The battery door is first first removed, then the grip is installed. Very integrated design. The only thing missing is the provisions for additional batteries, or headspace for the use of a larger battery in the camera body.

a much needed accessory for the EOS RP

I have medium sized hands and so mirrorless cameras have always been hard for me to grip. I had a need for a small, light, full frame camera and ordered the Canon EOS RP. It came with the extension grip and boy am I glad. It adds very little weight but makes the camera so much easier for me to hold. It's well built, fits perfectly and is reasonably priced.

Worthwhile accessory

I didn't think I'd need this, but it was included at no charge and I love it! It makes the camera feel very comfortable and secure in your hands. Especially if you have larger hands, you will find this accessory to be very useful. It is very well made.
