About Canon EOS R6 MARK III
The Canon EOS R6 Mark III is Canon's camera of choice for hybrid creators who need outstanding video and photo specs. 32.5MP CMOS Sensor
The new 32.5MP full-frame CMOS sensor represents a substantial increase over the R6 Mark II, which featured a 24.2MP sensor. This upgrade will give users more resolution and the capability to crop without losing detail in the scene. A DIGIC X Processor pairs with this sensor to deliver excellent dynamic range, low noise, and images that are both sharp and richly colored. This upgraded sensor and processor are perfect for this camera that aims to offer excellent features both for video and photo shooters, and the R6 Mark III can capture up to 40 fps continuous shooting and comes equipped with a Pre-Continuous Shooting setting that allows you to capture up to 20 frames prior to depressing the shutter button.
Professional Video Workflows
This camera is incredibly versatile for videography, offering internal recording up to 7K60p 12-bit Canon RAW Light Movie footage. When recording externally, 7K30p in ProRes RAW can be captured. For those who want to capture the full sensor, Open Gate 3:2 recording at 7K30p is available, offering creators greater flexibility to crop to fit unique aspect ratios. Oversampled 4K footage is also available for exceptionally sharp, clean footage, and 4K120p is a massive improvement over the predecessor for slow-motion recording. Other codecs include:

Canon Log 2 Profile
Videographers looking to maintain up to 15 stops of dynamic range will enjoy the Canon Log 2 profile. Still, the R6 Mark III offers many other profiles and adjustable parameters for those seeking to minimize post-production work. The Apply Look function can show LUTs in camera, and both 17-grid and 33-grid .cube LUTs can be registered to Custom Picture files to apply while shooting, giving you a more accurate idea of how the footage will look prior to color grading. Users who want to produce ready-to-share footage straight out of the camera have access to 14 Color Filters that can quickly add color and tone adjustments to JPEG images and MP4 videos.
Impressive Autofocus System
The R6 Mark III utilizes a Dual Pixel CMOS AF II, which uses updated technology from the EOS R1 and EOS R5 Mark II, offering fast, precise, and responsive autofocus. The autofocusing system recognizes many targets, including People, Animals, and Vehicles, and for the first time in an EOS R6-series camera, Register People Priority lets you prioritize frequent subjects to give priority over focusing on that subject when numerous subjects exist in a busy scene. You can register up to 10 people at one time. Additionally, videographers will appreciate Movie Servo AF, borrowed from the C400 and C80 cameras, which makes autofocus pulling look more natural during filming.
High Resolution EVF and LCD Touchscreen
The R6 Mark III includes a 3.69m-dot 0.5" 0.76x electronic viewfinder, which is exceptionally bright and filled with detail. This viewfinder allows for realistic viewing, even in harsh sunlight. A 3.0" rear LCD is equipped with 1.62m-dot and a vari-angle design, which can even flip completely for front-facing recording, ideal for content creators. The camera also comes equipped with one CFexpress Type B slot and one SD slot that supports UHS-II V90 cards.
Built for Reliability and Expansion
With a magnesium alloy chassis that is dust- and moisture-sealed, the R6 Mark III is tough enough to handle just about any shooting condition. The Multi-Function Shoe allows for the addition of accessories such as the DM-E1D Stereo Microphone and ST-E10 Speedlite Transmitter, both powered by the camera through the shoe. An optional battery grip (Canon BG-R20) not only gives the camera more shooting time, but it also increases ergonomics for those vertical stills and videos.

Fast USB-C, a full-sized HDMI Port, headphone and microphone jacks, as well as FTP support help creators capture and transfer files in a way that works best for their workflow.
Advanced Video Features
For video shooters who need to nail exposure and focus on the fly, the R6 Mark III includes zebra display, false color, and a waveform monitor, tools borrowed directly from Canon's Cinema EOS line. The electronic viewfinder also features OVF View Assist, which renders a more lifelike, higher-dynamic-range image designed to approximate the experience of looking through an optical viewfinder. For video shooters, Pre-Recording can capture up to 5 seconds of footage before you press record, and Auto Level works with the camera's image stabilizer to automatically keep footage level with the horizon.
