Extremely sharp
Bought this about a month ago and this lens is take sharp. Con: it?s a bit heavy for someone in my old age to hand-hold this beast, but I still love this beauty.

The RF400mm F2.8 L IS USM lens has been a work horse when it comes to shooting football photography. The clarity and reach have been instrumental in capturing those ever sought after action shots. It took time to adjust to the weight and how to use it with a monopod. I still have one issue that I haven't been able to figure out and that is periodically the lens will go out of focus. I use AF and when this issue occurs, I switch to manual focus, refocus, then switch back to AF.
